Exactly and after the treatment of the best player to ever play at of program and that players decision to never return to the University (as of right now) and her never speaking highly of the University and adding that to Mulkey views about the sex scandals at Baylor, I don't see how any parent would send their daughter to play for her, but that is just me.

We not even gonna talked about the time she said on National TV Geno can kiss/smack her behind and followed it up by allowing him to smack her behind smdh

But hey moving on

I find it bizarre - my exact thoughts on all you just said. I don’t know how she does it. She must be a witch or something! 🤷🏼*♀️

Anyway... as you said, moving on. I’ll just trust that it wasn’t meant to be.

Yes but Coach Summitt won the vast majority of her recruiting battles and be honest you don't really think there is a comparison coaching wise between the two do you?

There were also battles that she (Coach Summitt) lost also and most of the time they were done with poor integrity of other coaches (Brittany Griner and Maya Moore) which sounds like it was in this case to me

But we are past it, moving on! We have other young ladies in this class and future classes that we need to focus on!

The Rae Burrell visit is November 3rd. She is our main focus now and she is as athletic as any of the other players although their basketball skills may be more developed than hers. She has been coming on strong as a junior could make a huge move as a senior. If we get her to join us we'll still have a top ten class and maybe a top five class.

If we are brutally honest with ourselves what has our program done for the last several years? What reason do we have to think we will compete on an elite top 5 basis? The kids have to see it too.
Well if by competiting you mean beating the best...we beat three of the final 4 teams last year, late in the season on their floors both teams in the championship. Add in Notre Dame and yeah, brutally honest...

I wonder if losing law to usc slowed tennessee momentum on the recruiting trail..

This num 1 recruiting class is a great foundation though..maybe tennessee can get a couple final fours or more with this group..

FWIW:

Kansas State dismisses Eternati Willock, cites rules violation

3:33 PM CT

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kansas State has dismissed Eternati Willock, a member of the Big 12 all-freshman team a year ago, from its women's basketball program for repeated violations of team rules.
Wildcats coach Jeff Mittie announced the move Wednesday.
Willock appeared in 31 games last season, helping the Wildcats beat Drake in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to Stanford. The 6-foot-4 forward from Scarborough, Canada, averaged 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds in 19.9 minutes, and was expected to be a key piece of this year's team.
Willock was suspended in April after being accused of criminal trespass and liquor purchase by a minor.
Mittie said Willock "struggled with many things associated with being a student-athlete" and "her continued violations of team rules and standards has led to her dismissal."

Young lady needs a fresh start somewhere.

Hope she can

I wonder that too. No commitments since, Williams (added SC to her top 5) and DeCosta (SC was runner up based on musical chairs) who both mentioned how important Law was within their recruitment process.

I hope Gordon can quickly help out with recruiting and become the leader/closer on big time recruits like Law. How UT looks/performs this season will definitely help Reaves/Gordon with future classes like 2019.

Bottom line..... most recruits want to go where you can win!!!!

After last year I am surprised we can get anyone! If we start winning!!!!!! They will come... JMO

Ok, who is the Juco players Tennessee could go after.

Dominque Banks 6’5” Post from Gulf Coast State College (Coach Reeves has a great relationship with the coach there as she’s got several players from there at her coaching stops)

Amber Wilson 6’1” Wing from ASA College (same school as Cheridene Green) she averaged 9 points and 8 rebounds in her freshman season there! Originally verballed to Rhode Island but decided to go the JUCO route (I am unsure if Rhode Island would still be in play for her)

Those are two that I am intrigued by, not sure what the coaches would do!

I will update as I research some other JUCO programs

YES indeed, this is true...WINNING changes everything...players, male & female aren't as concerned about how many players are on the team...they are mainly concerned about having a strong shot at winning "NOW" and being part of a possible "CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM" "NOW"...we have to get back to the "FINAL FOUR" "NOW":aggressive::superman:

My Junior and Senior Highlights - Amber Wilson highlights - Hudl

This is a video I found of Amber Wilson, it’s footage of her last two years of high school! I love her intensity and effort on the defense end and her demeanor when she does something defensively (as you can see from the block shots)! Could definitely be a surprise (huge pick up al Alberta Auguste who helped us win 2 titles)!

And what did we do once the real season started?

that just showed they showed up for big games n half ass around on teams they should have beaten but lost.this new team got me exited because i watched 4 news players play several times n they seem have fight n play hard each play.davis though who think will surprise from what i seen plays more relaxed like holdsclaw did.she filled it up wth 1 nicest jumpers iv'e seen in while.are new center kk who hasn't got much hype but is very physical in post which we have lacked.she i especially green should bring new attitude or same ole' lady vol attitude in the post.
