Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Since this entire virus is a hoax or whatever, are most on the board going to say this is an unnecessary step? Is the "Invisible Enemy" real or not? Jesus ****ing Christ, I thought Kim Jong Un was brain dead or some **** tonight.

The president should have done this one day way before my favorite beer got ostracized.

It doesn't. Going from 30 weeks to 60 weeks only increases the probability of success 1.7%....from 96.7% to 98.3%.
Waiting 30 weeks increases your chances of success from 50% to 96.7%.........46.7% increase.
The first 30 weeks have an impact 27 times greater than the next 30 weeks.
I could have told you that.

This can be construed as voter suppression.

Worry about our American citizens that need help. Worry about the 20 million unemployed.

I try to follow this, but the mental gymnastics is too flippy for me. So Trump should have signed an EO banning immigration for a crisis that doesn't exist while overriding state decisions, in clear violation of state rights, on how to handle the rona internally, which also doesn't exist? He did the best ever for a crisis that doesn't exist. Then printed so much money the printer broke and they have to take a break so the poor damn thing can recharge for a bit. But that wasn't Trump somehow, that was those other socialists. Republican socialists are cool, those others are Commies. GOP Socialist Printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hell, these days you Red Hats are right there with the Bern on authoritarian populism. What a time to be alive.

I'm curious, who has said a crisis doesn't exist? Even if people see the virus itself as overblown, would a crashing economy and soaring unemployment numbers caused by the reaction not be considered a crisis? With so much of the economy shut down, why shouldn't immigration be shut down temporarily as well? I don't understand why anyone supporting continued isolation and social distancing would want to let more people into this country right now. I'm not saying it should be shut down forever, but it would certainly make sense to shut it down temporarily.

Absolutely not. But once the narrative from the medical experts hit the media that 2 million minimum people would die there was nothing else to do. Once that happened are you saying that the government should have given the bird to 20 million people?
And the president can close the country until meaningful immigration reform is a reality. Yes a couple of bad apples can ruin it for everyone. I was 💯 against George W Bush immigration reform sham.

Shutting it down temporarily makes sense to me.

I guess the massive amount of sarcasm and hypocrisy in my post was not founded. There is no crisis, I thought? Trump closes immigration because of crisis. Federal authority is the only thing that can control anything, Trump's words by the way. Wondering what our steadfast state's rights folks think about that from the Lord Red Hat. And the money part, well everyone gets a share of that blame. Poor printer.

Maybe it's because I barely slept last night(insomnia), but I'm confused as hell at what you're trying to say.
