Yes, but there is no reason people to expect people to die at higher rates. A third of all deaths came from 1 state. Stop choosing to ignore the obvious.

These people didn't get it from setting at their house. They have either been to stores, had family over, or have ordered stuff online.

With 66,000 people per square mile? Heck yes there are reasons for people to die at a higher rate than anywhere else in the US.

Have you ever been to NYC? Subways at 10:00 AM are usually packed. Even with social distancing, there is no way to avoid close proximity with other people if you go out in public.

They have to grocery shop. go to the bank and go to the drug store like everyone else in the world, while being in crowded stores, transportation, sidewalks, elevators, etc. You have no clue.

Sounds to me like they should have shut the subways down during the stay at home order .

I just think you'll need to hold up something other than SARS-CoV-1 as justification for no quarantines.

I have no doubt a lot of cities across this country would have been overwhelmed with quarantines. I also believe a lot of areas would not have been. Natural spacing gives you a certain pace, that depending on recovery time, can keep active cases in reasonable shape. Also, as soon as the more dense areas really started getting slammed, people would have taken steps everywhere to social distance with or without government edict.

Who else will they roll out? There is no way that Biden is President on Feb 28 2021. They either have a different nominee (who do you suggest?) at the convention or there's a statement before November 1 that Joe will be stepping down after inauguration and his VP will be the President.

Are you joking. That would affect speed of transmission. As long as medical capacity does not get over loaded, there is no reason the lethality in terms of deaths per million should be affected by that. Please explain how the virus living in a particular person decides to become more lethal because said person lives in a densely populated area.

Then why did we shut down. Once it was obvious that we weren't going to overwhelm hospitals it should have been opened back up. Testing could have still taken place. You think employers who shut down would have objected to at work testing? The media 💩 their pants one month after telling us we shouldn't worry about this virus.

Didn't impact Boston, DC, or Philly like it did NYC. All those cities have mass transit, similar weather and population densities. There was something very different about NYC. You have to either get on the conspiracy theory band wagon and admit that it was intentionally targeted or admit that somebody (Cuomo, DeBlasio) handled it very wrong.
