Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

There's a limit on how long people will allow the government to keep them locked down. There will pretty soon be huge demonstrations everywhere telling the State Governments to go fark themselves!

I think we are getting very close to getting this show back on the road - and I also think that we've been a little slow in the last few weeks to respond to mounting data. Testing is now in a good spot (with more tests than people wanting them). I don't think we're ever going to agree to contact tracing, which while I understand the uneasiness is unfortunate because it would help nip hotspots in the bud. But, it's time to do it and see what we can do to mitigate the effects.

Given that people can unknowingly transmit the virus without having any symptoms, it's not as simple as what's best for you. This is a societal issue.

So out of Sweden’s 10 million people pop , 3800 died from Covid and that is worth killing your countries economy over ? Is that what’s best for their society ?

I backed up what I said with facts, then called you names.

Also from the article: “This study did not aim to verify whether surgical or cloth masks are able to shorten the trajectory of droplets emitted through coughing.“

It also apparently didn’t do any study with regards to asymptomatic people.

Take it up with The Mayo Clinic and the general public.

Do you wear a mask every time you are out?

I'll take my chances with the virus before I let the .gov bankrupt my community, causing thousands to be unemployed, homeless and without health insurance.

Society first.

A fair point. But answer this: Got a grandmom? How much is her life worth to you? Got a price you're willing to put on it?

That's cool. When you get sick, don't go to the government then.

I don't know.

How many suicides, spousal abuses, substance abuse cases, cancers not being detected, other health issues being ignored and postponed leading to serious health problems or death because health care is delayed denied or hospitals have had to shut down because of our covid response, is grand ma's life worth?

That's a stupid game you are playing. It isn't one or the other.

Depends what you mean by “out” but generally speaking, yes.

If I’m going in a store, I put it on before I get out of the car and take it off after I get back in. I haven’t worn it to pump gas or when visiting family. I haven’t worn it when running or doing yard work. If I were going to go through a drive through, I’d put it on before I got to the window. If I’m doing take-out I put it on when the person comes to the car. We’ve done dine-in once to support a nearby restaurant after they reopened. I did not wear a mask. Seemed impractical since you can’t wear a mask while you’re eating.
