Budgetary reasons? Same reason they aren't conducting ketchup on steak trials.
Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin plus zinc vs hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin alone: outcomes in hospitalized COVID-19 patients
"After adjusting for the time at which zinc sulfate was added to our protocol, an increased frequency of being discharged home (OR 1.53, 95% CI 1.12-2.09) reduction in mortality or transfer to hospice remained significant (OR 0.449, 95% CI 0.271-0.744). Conclusion: This study provides the first in vivo evidence that zinc sulfate in combination with hydroxychloroquine may play a role in therapeutic management for COVID-19."

There's a limit on how long people will allow the government to keep them locked down. There will pretty soon be huge demonstrations everywhere telling the State Governments to go fark themselves!
And in some places sounds like the people are moving toward more than just protesting. As long as the courts continue to find for the people things should go well

Heh. That's not how it works. So we could have 90 people not working and 10 out there spreading the virus all around.

The Constitution disagrees. While there are precautions we should take, shutting everything down and telling people their business isn't essential, particularly small businesses, is unconstitutional.

Walmart sells a cellphone sanitizer that uses uvc light. keep one in your car you can put your cell phone, check card, keys and your mask in it to kill the virus. If you are going to go all ppe then you may as well go all out.
Maybe, but I’m not doing it to protect me and very few people are handling my credit card or cell phone.

Somebody else called it virtue signaling. In a way, it is, but to the extent that most people believe it’s effective, it serves the purpose of increasing consumer confidence and increasing the velocity of money through the economy by making people feel secure in going back to work and going out to spending.

Which is why I was making fun of people who said we should reopen the economy and pitched a fit about the masks.

but but but marble mouth pelosi says HCQ is deadly!

Wrong on all counts.

Questions to ask in determining the constitutionality of the continued lockdowns: 1) is the purpose of a continued lockdown legitimate? The goal of flattening the curve and not overwhelming the hospital system, the supposed reason for the lockdowns being implemented to begin with, has been achieved in the vast majority of states. Thus, the answer in most states would be a hard no. 2) Are lockdowns proper to achieving the goal of flattening the curve? The answer would be yes in most courts, but it isn't relevant in most states given that the curve has been flattened. All of this to say that I'm not wrong with the exception of perhaps a very small number of states.

A fair point. But answer this: Got a grandmom? How much is her life worth to you? Got a price you're willing to put on it?

Dumb arguments like this have become almost comical at this point. Let me save you the punchline, short of a vaccine or herd immunity, grandma is going to eventually get it anyway, lockdown or not.
