Read my other posts this evening on Fauci. Explains everything. His position requires a firm position founded in his expertise regardless of other viewpoints in Government. This is where he has failed us the most.

I’m just saying, if you think Fauci has failed us then I assume you are really disappointed with Trump? I mean his stance has been, “this is a hoax”, “only 15 cases today will disappear tomorrow”’, etc... He’s ignored and downplayed this thing from day one. I’m an independent voter for the record. I’m just trying to rationalize those blaming Fauci (which has been a coordinated government effort that has emerged in the last few weeks) while letting Trump off the hook. This is his show. He pulls the strings.
Maybe you are disappointed him. I’m just trying to clarify.

Here are a few screw-ups by Fauci. I’m sure there are other inconsistencies.
1-Stated COVID was not going to be a problem sometime in Jan/Feb. You better believe e he knew better so he was lying at that time.
2-Stated masks would not help than reversed himself.
3-Will not condemn the rioters and protestors in the wake of George Floyd’s death but has no problem condemning social gatherings such as going to Church services. Hypocritical.
4-Now saying we should wear goggles/and or face shields. WTF!

I am buying what they are selling. There's no reason for him to be wearing a mask in that situation. I'm sure he's been tested a ton and knows he isn't sick. Wearing a mask isn't to prevent you from getting sick it's to prevent you from infecting others if you are asymptomatic. Plus he's with people he knows and there's literally Noone else in the stands. This is a non issue and proves absolutely nothing.

I agree we need to open back up even though it’s going to be painful. The long term damage to this country will be far worse if we don’t. I also cannot completely dismiss the fact that if this was not an election year, the situation would be reported much differently by the media but then I realize we have those 150k deaths so far. That is hard to ignore.

My best friend lives in Stockholm and they are not wearing masks. He was in northern Sweden today in a town and said it was like the virus had been forgotten.

Sweden didn't manage the virus in the nursing homes in the beginning. They have appeared to have fixed fhat. They had zero deaths today.

For the fear mongerers, please research T Cells. It is looking like we would only need 20 percent of the population to contract the virus to achieve herd immunity. EXPERTS have said this. Not all experts are doom and gloom.

We are also getting better and better at treating this thing.

Also, can someone PLEASE. FINALLY answer this question finally? How would players not playing football actually make them safer? Are you suuuree the vast majority won't just continue to hang out as they have done throughout this thing, with all their friends and family regardless as the virus continues to spread? Please answer this. It's been avoided everytime.

I know the media is reporting Trump/Fauci discord the last two or three weeks. I became unhappy with Fauci back in April when I watched the interview from Jan/Feb where he dismissed COVID as a big concern. Then he reversed strategy on the masks. At that time I felt that he was a Govt bureaucrat who was in over his head. I still feel that way. I discussed some of my unhappiness with Trump in my prior post. I also believe he has done a few right calls. Suspending travel from China is one of them. He was crucified by The left and Biden when that happened. No matter what he does , the left is going to crucify him. That is what I mean that he is the lesser of two evils. I could write a book about this.

Ah...No, he did not dismiss the virus until the last few weeks. The national Emergency was declared in March and he stopped travel from China and then some of the European Countries before or soon after the declaration. It seems your comments come directly from CNN and MSNBC talking points. This country obviously was not prepared for this pandemic but that is true for all the countries. The only country that seemed to control the virus in a shorter time was China and you saw the videos how an authoritian state handles it. I do not think that would fly in the US, just look at the resistance in wearing masks now. I agree with the masks issues and the rally but has there been a spike in Iowa after the rally? Trump was recommending g masks but should of set the example. The curve starting flattening and in hindsight everyone thought we were in the process of getting over this. Trump did well in getting help to the states that needed help, New York and Michigan come to mind. That’s just a few thoughts. He has done well on some things and. Inot so well on other issues but some of the problems were just beyond our control and learning curve because we never had this problem in our lifetimes.
