In less than a month, our 7 day avg of daily positives has dropped over 100K. 7 day avg as of yesterday was 148K. On the 13th of January were at 250K. The actual number yesterday was 120K. We also have now vaccinated 10% of our population with at least one shot.

This is huge. We're kicking this virus' butt now. Momentum is on the side of the good guys. We're getting a first down every day or so now...

Is this drop related to the change in cycle counts on the PCR tests?

I ask because the case and death curve look closely correlated, but the death count hasn’t dropped as dramatically as the case count. We’ll see if those start moving together.

The death count generally lags about 3-4 weeks after the case count

What this means is for everyone who's received a shot two or more weeks ago, you no longer have to worry about getting really sick from this. It will not land you in the hospital. It'll not kill you. In other words, it's no longer any more of a threat than any other bug out there.

Now let's get back to normal and live our lives...
