I wonder what the true world costs just for lost productivity alone would be. What did we lose 35% of our GDP, so say $7T plus about $3T in gov programs. THe US alone would be $10T, plus death compensation, probably another $20T for those.

With the US being about 25% of world GDP, say another $25T for the world and another $80T for compensation.

Bill to China= $135T.

Honestly, I wonder how much of Fauci's cockups were due to his concerns with Trump's approach. Was he trying to outpace what he felt was misinformation coming from the same podium he was speaking from?

There's significant blame to be laid at Trump's feet, sure. But Fauci, if the trajectory of information continues in the same direction, made the bigger errors by not letting the data speak for itself. Never massage the data to fit your message. Ever.
