What does Trump have to do with anything?
I can't say that he does, but the rate of vaccinated people tracks very closely to how people voted. It's kinda bizarre, I saw a chart- one state Biden won with 65% of the vote, they're currently 65% vaccinated. One state Trump won with 60% of the vote, they're currently 39% vaccinated. The list went on and on, etc.

Tn is around 40% fully vaccinated. How does that line up?

Ok but saying Trump has anything to do with a persons individual choice is just ridiculous.

The vaccination rates line up more closely with the oldest states by population, not voting.

If so, one would think Florida would be higher than 47% vaxed, they're the 5th oldest pop and 26th in vaccinations. Biden carried 47.9% of Florida's votes

West Virginia, the 4th oldest pop is currently 47th in % vaxed with 38.7% . Biden carried 30% of WV votes, so maybe age has pushed it up a bit there.

Idk, but dont care. I'm all for people having to figure such basic stuff out on their own.

Just talking strategy though, considering almost every person that wants the vaccine has had it, the best thing you could do as a state would be start spreading rumors of vaccine shortages and creating day long waiting periods to get a show now. You would be flooded with the people on the fence.
You have a problem with people on the fence getting the vaccine? Has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Japanese Government Accused Of "Strong Arm Tactics" As Tokyo Rebels Against Alcohol Ban | ZeroHedge

Because after an association of liquor retailers complained to representatives of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party about a demand from a government bureaucrat that distributors stop working with restaurants who continued to serve booze during the pandemic, it looks like the government has abandoned that request.

Why? It's either helpful in curbing the pandemic or it isn't. If it is, why not encourage it? If it isn't, why offer it?
That's just it... we don't have enough info to make these determinations because we don't have a long enough timeline to see the longer term side effects.

My gad, we've only had this vaccine since December. Can we not have at least 18-24 to determine if it is safe?

They've been testing mRNA vaccines for a while. The idea didn't simply get developed from a blank slate in response to Covid.

Tennessee health department halting vaccine outreach to minors

Tennessee's health department is halting its outreach to minors to get vaccinated against all diseases, not just COVID-19.

Michelle Fiscus, former vaccine chief with the Tennessee Department of Health, wrote a memo explaining teenagers ages 14-17 can obtain COVID-19 vaccines without their parents' approval. After that, she said she was dismissed from her job, and the agency halted outreach to children regarding vaccines against all diseases, according to records obtained by the Tennessean.

"Our leadership has been toxic to work under, and morale within the department is poor ... and what really concerns me is that, in order to appease the legislators that were upset about this memo, our leadership in the Department of Health has instructed the Department of Health to no longer do outreach around immunizations for children of any kind," Fiscus told CNN.

Am I correct to assume "cases" are positive tests including people with no symptoms?

A woman told me that she was one of the first people vaxed in the US as part of the trials. She had either blood work or Covid tests done weekly and over the last 18 months she tested positive 3 times but has never been sick. I assume these type situations are what Israel is referencing?

The data I've seen about the number of people hospitalized has been something like 98.3% unvaxed.
