Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

But there's a wide variation of how much natural immunity is created by an infection and it's unclear how long that immunity lasts. Many people got infected during the first wave of March 2020. That's nearly a year and a half ago. Moreover, many think they had it but never got tested, so they have no conclusive evidence that they had it. He's encouraging a lot of reckless and risky behavior there when we know that the opposite behavior (getting vaxxed) would only have the effect of BOOSTING their own immunity.

Why do you keep arguing in favor of risky behavior with this virus?
So that is unclear but how long it lasts from the vaccine is clear? How are you this dumb?

that's a one day count - 2 days before the count was under 1400. you really believe the cases went from 1400 to over 11K in 2 days or maybe it's a reporting issue.

7 day average is still below where it was at the beginning of March.

Keep cherry picking EL
Remember when we had our little debate about herd immunity in Texas and whether there would be a third wave? How'd that work out for you?

Taking the family to Disney World in September. Was looking forward to not having to deal with masks. But, starting Friday they are goong back to to requiring masks indoors. This sucks.
Sorry man...we went to Universal last Christmas and had to wear masks everywhere except the mask free zones...I still had a great time...we are driving Route 66 in September after having to cancel it twice...I'll wear a mask if I have to but not gonna let this virus rob me of any more bucket list check offs...hope you guys have a great time

it worked out fine - you have a poor memory on what I said vis a vis whether herd immunity had been reached, what that means for case counts and apparently can't see that current cases in Texas are where they were in March.

you also fail to remember the conversation was driven in part because you predicted surge then base on a reporting based uptick that you interpreted as the start of the next wave (it wasn't).

We did Disney last September and it was good as far as short lines. We had to wear masks at all times unless eating, so at least it won't be that bad. (Knock on wood)

My only mistake was inviting my teenager niece who is a master at thrill ride peer pressure...several times I thought I was either gonna throw up or die lol

BTW - California (the most science™ following state I'm told) had 12,000 new cases yesterday - the most since February. Guess they showed those damn....
Oh you’ve done it now 😂

Had a great meeting today with my new graduate students. Sat around a table in a circle with no masks and no worries.

The Uni president is having us either upload proof of vaccination or get tested weekly at the university's expense in order to be in person. No word about masks, and I hope one doesn't come down the pipe.
