Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

To this point, my husband does not have the virus, for which I’m very grateful. He has multiple sclerosis, and protecting his health is why we’ve been so careful throughout this thing. He did get a booster shot a little over two weeks ago (before they were authorized and on the advice of his doctor), so I’m hoping that keeps him protected.

And I don’t know for sure I have the Delta variant. It’s a logical conclusion to draw since our state health department has indicated it’s by far the dominant strain in South Carolina at this point. Also, my initial symptom was a runny nose - which is a common symptom of Delta variant.

Today, my biggest symptom is fatigue. I’ve been napping off and on all day. Very similar to when I had mono a few years ago - my energy is zapped.
By stating that you have the delta variant without actual proof, you are exacerbating the hyperbole that is associated with this Chinese Flu. You. do. not. know. for. sure.

I wish you a speedy recovery and good health for him,

My district has adopted this policy.....
If you are contact traced and you have been vaxed, you're good.
If you have had covid in the past 90 days, you're good.
If neither of the above, you can agree to wear a mask at all times and have temperature checks twice a day.
It goes for athletes as well.
That just doesn't make any since because you can still spread it if you are vaxed. They should have just sent the whole school home and let them return next week with a negative test.
I can't even begin to understand the whole if you wait until the 8th day your out until the 10th.

If my understanding is correct, they have over half the school on quarantine and 6 positive cases although that number is likely to jump since this version so much easier to transmit.
I know you job requires you to be around the little heathens, so stay safe.

All they need to do is stand in their shower fully clothed with the water running and their heater turned to high.

I do not understand the draw of that state.
Have you been to the beach and seen the popular current female bathing attire?

Guy at work had to go get his kid at school today, the teacher tested positive and the whole class is quarantined. My coworker and his son both had covid this year and the kid wears his mask. No matter, he and his classmates are a dire threat to all around them. His baseball team is completely crippled by quarantines, none of the kids are sick but they've all been swept up. I'm just biding my time until our kid gets sent home too.

It is a local public school system, lol. These directions arent flowing from highly intelligent people.
Have you seen the local group of crazies, “SPEAK?” They’re talking about suing Knox County’s BOE because the mask mandate is optional instead of mandated. These people are twisted.

Did you read that article?

Headline is clickbait - he's pleading against wealthy nations not to use the vaccine for boosters when third world populations haven't received a first. And he's suggesting NOT getting these third world people inoculated is what will lead to more virulent variants.

The irony of you posting this article shouldn't be lost on anyone, since you're one of the unvaxxed that he's suggesting could make things worse.

Does ANYBODY actually trust the WHO? At least they have an appropriate acronym for their organization.

Seems like the right likes to trot them out when they're in agreement and then sh*t on them when they aren't.

Massachusetts doctor, who’s pro-vaccine, says that upwards of 40% of the state’s active cases today are from vaccinated individuals. Call it anecdotal but by my math that’s 60% effective at preventing infection.

The breakthrough cases remain a tiny percentage -- about 0.35% -- of the more than 4,449,267 people who have been vaccinated and the deaths an even smaller percentage -- just 0.0003%

In the last week alone, 3,098 breakthrough cases -- infections in people who have been vaccinated -- have been reported. Health officials said 571 of the new breakthrough cases resulted in hospitalization, or about 0.01% of all fully vaccinated individuals.

There Have Now Been Over 15,000 Breakthrough COVID Cases in Mass.
