Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Most Tennesseans I know are kind, open, "that's none of my business" folks who realize that have their own things others might find interesting. Maybe I've just lived in the wrong parts.
So are you saying that Tennesseans that don't wear a mask aren't representative of the state?

No, I'm saying that most Tennesseans I know would be more apt to "Ok, whatever" and go on than waste energy making fun of another human being.

Are you saying most Tennesseans are busybody assholes looking for cheap laughs wherever they can find one?

I wager it’s more representative of the general population than you and your circle

You are letting him change the narrative that Tennesseans are not kind or open.
They can wear 5 masks for all I care or most Tennesseans. And we are free to call them fools.

Did a lot of running around this weekend running various errands. I made an effort to count the number of folks wearing masks:

1

This whole weekend I saw 1 mask. It was an old lady working the dressing room at a clothing store.

I swear if the fear peddling causes a regression back to 2020 this Fall I’m going to lose it. We are finally out of this and normalcy is back. It should stay that way.

One can do both right? "Feel free to foolishly cover your face with ineffective cloth" is what goes thru my head when I see a mask

Wow. Just wow..are we to place you on the cross now?
He’s on the next phase of his usual cycle. First the whining victimization, then the “I know some n’er do well” example, then the backhanded comment against a conservative or Christian, followed by some pseudo woke babble that he read in a college paper, then a lecture about what we should do and how he isn’t liberal, followed by massive apology and the martyrdom. Then he disappears for a month or two and rinses, repeat

Don't forget your part in the cycle. You are an equal participant.

That is true. But just because a person doesn't approach someone about their mask wearing, that doesn't mean that they don't still think in their mind that they look ridiculous at this point (or really, before now... it was ridiculous 2 years ago).

Here you go again. No one said anything about getting in people's safe space and hurling insults at them. But that doesn't mean that they don't look at these people as being ridiculous.

I can understand a customer’s desire to mask up while inside a store. What still baffles me is the driver and only occupant of a vehicle masking up. These are the virtue signaling morons telling us to “follow the science!”

Never say never. You may end up getting disappointed by some of your neighbors, family and friends again.

Or, I think some of them are really scared. The virtue signaling ones are the people with the designs and messages on their masks. The people I usually see with the masks on while driving solo are older people with just a generic light blue mask. They live in fear thanks to the media and their ignorance.
