Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

No funding no research. They purposely move outside US to conduct things Americans won’t accept. Then again monkeys on the freeway!!!

So national laws dont apply..Guess they can pollute and create Frankensteins in their 3rd World regulatory environment. Heck of a loophole.

The 'Worst Variant' Is Here

(CNN) Nearly two-and-a-half years since the coronavirus pandemic began, the most infectious and transmissible variant yet has arrived.

Repeated Covid-19 waves have left millions of people dead, with only vaccines helping to blunt the toll. Now the virus is spreading again — evolving, escaping immunity and driving an uptick in cases and hospitalizations. The latest version of its shape-shifting, BA.5, is a clear sign that the pandemic is far from over.

The newest offshoot of Omicron, along with a closely related variant, BA.4, are fueling a global surge in cases — 30% over the past fortnight, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

In Europe, the Omicron subvariants are powering a spike in cases of about 25%, though Dr. Michael Ryan, the executive director of WHO's Health Emergencies Program, has said that number may actually be higher, given the "almost collapse in testing." BA.5 is on the march in China, ratcheting anxieties that major cities there may soon re-enforce strict lockdown measures that were only recently lifted. And the same variant has become the dominant strain in the United States, where it accounted for 65% of new infections last week, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

BA.5: The 'worst variant' is here - CNN

Of course. The timing of this new variant is as expected. A little over 3 months until the mid-terms and they’re still focusing on 1/6.

I expect they’ll be changing priorities and focusing on state shutdowns sooner or later.

Honestly, testing has become basically nonsense. Unless your physician deems you a candidate for treatment of some sort, I think people should just behave as usual -- stay home if you are sick or have fever.

Most parents in my office are actually requesting that we NOT test their kids, unless they need it for school/work/travel.
Exactly! Why test? Does it change your behavior? Stay home if you don’t feel good whether you have the virus or not.

That's the weird thing about it though. Best outcomes I've seen were people who were active, went outside, didn't eat a bunch of crap, etc.
There is a mental aspect that is hard to account for too. Once people know they have it, things change and it absolutely can manifest into physical problems. I don’t know that this other poster’s parents fall into that category or not but I bet the fear of death wouldn’t have been there if they were just as sick before Covid. That fear could potentially make things worse. Where I’ve seen this exact phenomena is when people think they have the virus. Suddenly they start having all kinds of symptoms and feeling bad. Then they test and find out they don’t have it and immediately they feel fine. I’ve seen it many times. Again, that might not be the case for that person’s parents but it’s possible the mental worry of potentially dying made their symptoms worse.

"The calls and text messages are relentless. On the other end are doctors and scientists at the top levels of the NIH, FDA and CDC. They are variously frustrated, exasperated and alarmed about the direction of the agencies to which they have devoted their careers.
“It's like a horror movie I'm being forced to watch and I can't close my eyes,” one senior FDA official lamented. “People are getting bad advice and we can’t say anything.”"

WRT vaccine for young kids:

"Referring to Pfizer’s vaccine efficacy in healthy young children, one high-level CDC official—whose expertise is in the evaluation of clinical data—joked: “You can inject them with it or squirt it in their face, and you’ll get the same benefit.”"

So another conspiracy theory that actually turned out to be true? And WTF is "breakthrough bleeding"?

Menstrual changes after Covid vaccines may be far more common than previously known

An analysis published Friday in the journal Science Advances found that 42% of people with regular menstrual cycles said they bled more heavily than usual after vaccination. Meanwhile, 44% reported no change and around 14% reported a lighter period. Among nonmenstruating people — those post-menopause or who use certain long-term contraceptives, for example — the study suggests many experienced breakthrough or unexpected bleeding after their Covid shots.

The hits just keep on coming. Remember when the suggestion that the shots could affect fertility was a "hoax?" (As posted in all the offices of a local prominent Pediatric group).

My GYN friends have all seen these complaints for a year and a half.

U.S. Public Health Agencies Aren't ‘Following the Science,’ Officials Say

Good choice of words by the CDC official when he said “same benefit”.

Unfortunately for those that got injected, not sure yet what potential adverse results they will suffer. Squirting in the face is the more preferable choice.

Cannot believe the amount of people who are still harping on the “vaccine”. Clearly not effective for anything except maybe making it easier to get COVID again.

The same people who were trusting the science now ignore the science.

LOL

The Food and Drug Administration has advised vaccine makers to target the omicron subvariants when developing shots for release in the fall – even as experts warn that a new variant could arise in that time.

"We've got to keep building new generations of vaccines," Jha argued. "We've got to make sure we have adequate treatments. We can get through this, but not if we take our eye off our ball."

We're literally watching the definition of insanity in real time.
