Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

From what I can tell, the percentage of hospitalized patients that took the shots has continued to increase. Prior infection definitely conveys some protection. But, I think the primary driver has been decreased virulence of the devolved strains. I've known and seen several people/patients who did not receive mRNA shots who swear they have never had it before and have had mild cold symptoms with their recent case. I don't know of any pediatric hospitalizations or complications in many months.

To be fair, I'm sure you never did see many pediatric hospitalizations or serious cases with C19. That's nothing new now

Wow, the logical gymnastics winter event just happened in this thread. LG gets the gold medal.
I'm gonna make a prediction. In about 10-15 years, Democrats are going to try to pull with the forced vaccinations what they did with their racism. You know, how they swear the parties were reversed back then, and it was actually republicans who started the kkk, voted no to end slavery, etc. They're going to say it was actually the republicans who voted to force people to get vaccinated or get fired, while allowing illegals to come in without being even tested. LG, El and the crew will be swearing the parties swapped 🤣

Not many, no. Similar to influenza, croup, adeno, and other respiratory viruses. RSV last fall caused the biggest spike in hospitalizations in 3+ years.
And right now, at least in my part of town it’s strep throat that’s causing all the school closures, no issues with Covid.

My son just tested positive an hour ago for strep. Dr said it's going crazy right now and hitting both kids and adults which is strange

My wife was going to go back to church this coming weekend, been staying home because of complications from surgery months ago, but a friend called her and told her to wait. She said there's several in the church with bad strep, really high fever, and lasting for several days.

Did they put him on amoxicillin or something else? Our pediatrician said they’ve noticed that the strep going around right now isn’t responding well to it and they’re prescribing cefdinir instead.

That’s just a safe bet right there.😂😂

Vaccinated or not vaccinated, who's going to the hospital for Covid right now? I'm not hearing about it at all
Zero cases for 3 weeks. ICU census is low and I’m convinced since we have had so many deaths in 2.5 years of covid, shots and lack of treatment we may have run out of patients. It doesn’t hurt my feelings at all.

OK, you're an opinion I trust 'cause you're on the front lines. So in your experience, there's no significance to Covid hospitalizations right now. (I'm sure occasionally a person in frail health is hospitalized for flu, Covid or whatever). So here's my question: How can our gov't (CDC etc) continue to push the narrative that C19 vax keeps you out of the hospital? Maybe my view is wrong but IMO they're still pushing that 'cause that's all that's left. They can no longer push that it keeps you from getting infected or that it keeps you from spreading it. If they lose the hospitalization narrative, they got nothin'

The HS football team is riddled with covid at the moment. My son is two years removed, so not affected. Seems my son is never affected. Ddin't get it then. Sophomore in college on campus...has yet to catch covid, cold, flu, strept, VD (lol), Rhino, or any other type of virus. Come to think of it, I can only recall one time maybe he's been ill or out of school sick even. Maybe last year he got a sore throat or small cough, but it passed quickly. Must be nice. And he's a pure blood, so he has that going for him.

Bad day for the Public Health establishment (this is where I found out reference to the Norfolk Group)

The answer to most of those questions can be answered by the pockets of Big Pharma/politicians/bureaucrats, and the immunity they enjoy from currently killing thousands of normally healthy and athletic youth. The entire saga makes you woder about the "conspiracy" of advancing socialism through mass control and reprogramming of the public. There is still one poor little teen girl that comes to Junior League bowling every single saturday morning with the N-95 mask and a pair of science lab goggles. To this day, I have no idea what she even looks like. Except stupid. Nobody volunteers to be on her team. The league coach had to place 2 bowlers on her team. And she's a sweet young lady. Sad. Her dad and grandma come the same way.

Good article.

“Maybe the most perplexing sin of the public health establishment is that it abandoned the essential commitment to science.”

“Public health bureaucrats operated more like dictators than scientists during the pandemic, sealing themselves off from credible outside criticism.”

If the institutions of the United States government cannot be trusted to act in the best interest of the health of those they serve, what can they be trusted with?

Not much.
