Les Miles fired....

Except that Herman is less likely to move now, sure.

That is not what I heard. Time will tell, none of this is easy to predict as there are moving pieces. Obviously he has a good thing going in Houston as well.

His true love is Texas no doubt though. My guess... depends on how TAM finished the year.

But what if the Notre Dame job comes open????? Or Auburn???? That's a bidding war for Herman and I like Notre Dame's chances.

Its easier for him to recruit at Houston. He barely has to leave campus to recruit. and if the Big 12 takes Houston and gives him a huge raise there is no reason for him to leave.

I doubt Herman is at Houston long whether or not he gets a LSU offer.

So you fire a coach that averaged you 10 wins a year. Hope that works out for you

Sincerely,

Phil Fulmer

Houston will throw the house at Herman too keep him. I bet they end up with Kiff or remove the interim tag from Orgeron.

I think Houston has enough support among Big-12 presidents to be invited to join this year. He is guaranteed 5 million if that happens. If so, I think he stays at Houston for the time being.

That's why LSU needs a solid back up plan. Briles is a sleaze bag for sure but he can coach with the big boys.

Booger said on ESPN that it isn't that LSU can't throw the football. It's that Miles didn't want to.

Does anybody really believe that's true?

Maybe philosophy is run first but not a single coach doesn't want to be successful throwing the ball. Les may have made been bullheaded thinking the QBs they have recruited would be successful. That's where the problem has been along with Miles time management issues.

Would Herman still be able to recruit the Houston area like he does now if he went to one those schools ? LSU is the perfect choice for him if he leaves Houston

Ive heard him say the same things about development.
He believes that Harris is capable but the staff doesent coach him up like they should. Leaning heavily on Fournette the blueprint has been laid and he doesent see them winning many more whether or not Les is filed.

Obviously this was before the news broke today.

I would think that even if he leaves Houston his ground work there would make it a lot easier to recruit there as opposed to others.

Plus you have to take into account the kids that would follow him because of who he is.

And where he is going

Some people in their fanbase are actively hoping for Kiffin

Please God let it be so.

I'm sure I will be the only one that believes that Kiffin would be very successful at LSU. Keep the existing DC and put his personal stamp on the offense, could be a winning formula.

Gotta believe he has learned a thing or two working with Satan for these last years
