Les Miles fired....

Calling my shot...

Rocky Long out of San Diego State.

OR

They reach out to an up and coming coordinator in Lincoln Riley.

Long will be coaching in the P5 next year. For whom? LSU would be dumb to overlook him.

Riley is a long shot, but I bet he'll be a HC this time next year. And LSU can't do much worse than a coordinator that's already been at two stops and produced winning offenses.

LSU is in a good situation. They're not far behind the top of the SEC and it's a very high profile job so they can get top notch candidates. Talent for days.

Ogre is back, woohoo!

Kudos to LSU for finally taking decisive action...long overdue. I don't know who I want to have that job more, Orgeron or Kiffin. Either would be a hoot.

Volnation would explode if we fired a 12 year HC with Les' career record after a 2-2 start. Many here would've imploded if we fired someone like Dooley at 2-2.

It has less to do with 2-2 and more to do with 2-5, and no wins against Bama since 2011.

ND will not fire Kelly after this year. Firing his DC bought him another year, at least.

They will --- see Charlie Wies and Tyrone Willingham they can care less how much a buyout is -- The ND boosters are among the wealthiest and most arrogant in CFB

I'm just glade we are not gonna need a new coach this year with

ND
LSU
TEXAS
USC
AUBURN

all probably firing there coaches this year

Texas won't fire Strong this year barring a complete and utter collapse. He starts conference play this weekend and could make a run at the Big 12 title.

At one time Derek Dooley was their top choice to replace Miles

Would be interesting if Ed O does well this year - like he did at So Cal as interim coach. Maybe they keep him in the job and he recruits his good buddy Lane to join him on the staff (since he followed LK around all those years, it's time for Lane to return the favor)

He tried that at Ole Miss and Kiffin wouldnt bite

I wonder what happens to Aranda at the end of the season. He surely would be retained by any incoming HC wouldn't he?

Depends... I would say LSU would like to retain him but D can't get teams off the field. People generally give him a break due to new system, they have been great in the red zone... the problem is they can't get teams off the field.

Last night 7 long drives.... only 18 points but long drives.

Herman has said is dream job is one of the 3 Texas schools. Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor.

Herman isn't going to Baylor. Nobody wants that dumpster fire right now. And part of the reason?

Baylor 2017 Football Commits

When you have FCS schools ranked ahead of you in 2017 recruiting, you truly are plutonium.

Texas or ATM, sure, possibly. But not Baylor.

Struck while the iron was hot. Powers that be there knew they could do it today and not have to deal with public backlash like last year IMO.

They could have waited until they lost to Alabama and there wouldn't be any public backlash either.

Firing a man whose worst season was 8-5, whose teams got your program into two national title games, and whose record includes 7 ten win seasons = DUMB.

Not just dumb -- DUMB.

Sounds kinda familiar, if memory serves me correctly wasn't there another SEC team in the east that done that back in like 2008????🤔🤔
