On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced its 153rd arrest of illegal alien sex offenders in Maryland with 36-year-old illegal alien Madai Gamaliel Amaya of Honduras being arrested in Montgomery Village in August.

FTR, over a 3.5 year span where we apprehended > 1.4M illegal border crossers and ran their prints to find any foreign or domestic convictions....we found only 34k had any convictions at all (non-immigration convictions). That's only 2%, and these include the pettiest of crimes. Violent crime is only 0.3%. So 3 out of a 1,000 might get in a scrap, and it's probably with another immigrant. Only 26 killers, or 0.000018% (check my math, maybe one 0 too few or too many).

OK. Let's say your 2% figure is accurate. That is 200,000 of 10,000,000 border crossers, at a minimum, who have commited non-violent crimes, like vehicle theft, home invasion, shoplifting, drunk driving, grand and petit larceny, who had convictions in other jurisdictions. These are the ones that were reported.

You say the KNOWN violent criminals would be .3% of the illegal immigrant population. That is 30,000 individuals let loose on this country.

That is taking your figures.

Those 230,000 criminals that were let loose in this country, where half of the country is not enforcing the laws.

Let's assume that criminals will continue to commit crimes, unless they are stopped. If each of these individuals commits 3 crimes a person, that is 600,000 "non-violent" crimes and 90,000 violent crimes per year.

That is enough crime to have every person living in Nashville, TN to be accosted at least once a year by an illegal.

Iirc it was 87% war funding but the only part you take issue with is the tiny border money. That's a complete sham and you're supporting it. There were regs in place that the Biden admin removed day one. Why not focus on those instead?

I agree they should enforce what’s on the books. But I also believe in bipartisanship and negotiation in all areas. Unfortunately nobody wants to do that anymore. All anybody is interested in is their side winning.

I understand that all bills get weighed down with other crap. Just because it was weighted toward war funding doesn’t mean it had to end up that way. But again, none of these people want to negotiate and especially with Trump threatening them.

It was a half hearted effort to address the border that they allowed to be wide open for 3 years. They didn't want the border they wanted money for Ukraine and to blame the right for killing the border part. What Biden did upon taking office was more destructive than killing this bill would ever be.
