Who was the leading WR for the team that year? What a player knows doesn't always relate to the amount of receptions. Frosh will usually get fewer than upper class wr. This year we are in a much different situation. But Hunter knew quite a bit more than you're giving him credit.

Jones missed 3 games in the middle of the season with an injury.. sure seems like there would have been plenty of opportunities for Hunter and / or DaRick Rogers to get more catches than what they got, had they known the offense.
Pease note: you keep referencing Zach Rogers. I was not talking about Zach but Da'Rick. Neither of those 2 (daRick or Justin) had issues getting throws to them once they learned more routes.
As a senior in HS Worley evaded Clowney and his team enough to throw 5 TD passes in the second half to come from 2 TD's down to win the game easily. Worley has started and played a lot of snaps without adequate preparation against Bama and USCe. He knows what it takes to get a job done. The other 3 have not taken a snap in a live SEC game and two have not taken a snap in a live UT practice. Jones & staff will make the decision that is best for the program and to win games.
:He was a Beast before his injury. He played last year to protect his future. I don't blame him.

I agree on the first part. He was great and was one of my favorite players pre injury and I was excited about his return, BUT if it were my choice I would've put someone in who would give their ALL for Tennessee, not 75%. Its not about him.....Its about the team that's been there with you every day. Anybody can run down field, make a cut and catch the ball. We need people that will fight for every yard. He hurt his team by having a "me first" attitude. I wish him the best and hope he does well but as far as a college WR, he doesn't even come close to the best to play here

That sounds great but when he was sitting in rehab wondering if his dreams were dashed as well as his ability to make millions I'm sure he decided to do what he could but to be careful. Had he gotten hurt again it would have cost him millions of dollars. I don't blame him at all.

Good post. This offense will be an up-tempo, short-passing scheme. Worley won't need much time in the pocket. Nor will he be required to be a hero. This team will pleasantly surprise us. Not saying 8 wins, but maybe 7 wins plus a bowl game.

The offense will definitely need play makers! Whether Worley can do that remains to be seen.
Marquez North will be an immediate threat. Will take some pressure off the others. I feel like our RBs can easily average 3.5 yards per carry behind our line. Would be nice to have an impact TE.

One threat will not be enough with what we have seen from the run gain over the last few years. I understand we have a different system in place now however we have no marquee running backs or even above average running backs...
I remember that Da'Rick drop all too well. Against Vandy, Worley threw 11 passes and completed 8. One of the remaining 3 was an interception caused by Patterson's wrong route, and another was Hunter letting a sure TD pass bounce off his facemask. In my mind, he should have completed 10 of the 11. Bray, on the other hand, was 11 of 29 with 2 interceptions. How can you possibly think that Worley looked better than Bray in that game?Worley looked about 100 times better than Bray in the limited time he played during the Vandy game last year.
He also threw a perfect bomb to Rogers against USCe as a freshman that Rogers was kind enough to drop. Could have won the game for us. What would the perception of him be if that had happened?

Tell Aj about that QB running threat thing being the norm in the college game. Watching too much Manziel film thinking that's the norm. Its not.I'm not concerned about Worley getting away, its more of my opinion and hope that we use all aspects of the field and all weapons, including a Qb that is a running threat. That's the college game.
Then some poster will post about bama, not realizing all their qbs during their run have picked up big first downs with their feet along the way, many times. We haven't had that threat since? Casey Clausen? That's all the running I am referring to. Any more would be gravy.
