Worley looked about 100 times better than Bray in the limited time he played during the Vandy game last year.
He also threw a perfect bomb to Rogers against USCe as a freshman that Rogers was kind enough to drop. Could have won the game for us. What would the perception of him be if that had happened?
What kind of pass do you call the 25 yarder into the endzone that hit Hunter in the facemask? Was that a hook or a slant? To refresh your memory, it was in the Vandy endzone going to the right on the TV screen. It would have been in the far corner, away from the camera side of the field. He threw 5 yd passes the whole time against vandy while they called the risky plays for Bray.....throwing a bunch of hooks and slants doesn't mean u had a good game....that's pitch and catch.....I want to see him what he does with the full offense at his disposal, not the same 2 or 3 plays
I feel pretty sure that not all of the patterns that Bray had to choose from were "risky." Bray liked to wing it down the field, no matter the risk, instead of dumping it off to a second or third or fourth choice. He threw 5 yd passes the whole time against vandy while they called the risky plays for Bray.....throwing a bunch of hooks and slants doesn't mean u had a good game....that's pitch and catch.....I want to see him what he does with the full offense at his disposal, not the same 2 or 3 plays

Me too. When we have been at our best through the years, we controlled the ball for several minutes, mixed in a power running game with short to medium length passes, and move methodically down the field. When the rested defense took the field, they were often able to stop the other team.I'll take pitch and catch with a solid running game and defense every damn day of the football season.
That sounds great but when he was sitting in rehab wondering if his dreams were dashed as well as his ability to make millions I'm sure he decided to do what he could but to be careful. Had he gotten hurt again it would have cost him millions of dollars. I don't blame him at all.

I really don't mind what kind of pass or run that is called as long as we get at least 10 yards in the first 3 plays.

This style offense is much more to his style than the previous offense that he was in.. Justin gets it!
the laat sentence is pretty much where i am at as well. From what I can tell Worley in his highschool career did as much if not more to get people as excited as they seem to be for the new guys. In my opinion those that think Dobbs will come in and start are just falling into the "newer is always better" mindset.
Worley has in-game experience and years of practice at the SEC level. This is exactly how I like to see quarterbacks progress. Get there feet wet as much as you can.. (or throw em the deep end if you must) and then hope they're ready when the time comes.
People have gotten used to freshman starting. This is not optimal and to already expect them to start while we have a seasoned option is pretty ridiculous. And yes he is seasoned in that he's a grown ass man whose put in the reps the last couple years and Dobbs and Ferguson are boys.
The only real question I see is could Peterman take the spot with his superior run skills.
We got some really, really stupid fans round thes parts. Not only is Worley the best QB on the roster, he will be terrific in this offense. Go back to Harry potter movies you tweets.
Posted via VolNation Mobileyeah and Tyler lit up everyone else. All I remember is everyone always complaining about Bray only doing well against bad competition. So you're saying Worley should have at least as good of numbers as Bray. I think our offense will be just fine if we get that kind of production out of Worley. Please show me the game field that suggests this.....oh I forgot that he lit up the almighty MTSU. He might be good but there is nothing that proves that to this point.

I agree on the first part. He was great and was one of my favorite players pre injury and I was excited about his return, BUT if it were my choice I would've put someone in who would give their ALL for Tennessee, not 75%. Its not about him.....Its about the team that's been there with you every day. Anybody can run down field, make a cut and catch the ball. We need people that will fight for every yard. He hurt his team by having a "me first" attitude. I wish him the best and hope he does well but as far as a college WR, he doesn't even come close to the best to play here
