Look, we just beat the #1 team in the country......

This whole Elite 8 vs beating #1 discussion is just another way for the troll army to say the Kansas win doesn't change a thing in their perception of CBP. Like even the Elite 8 would. Why even play their know-it-all games? It's like talking to the wall.

Typical lawyer change of subject from the OP.

Yet you were only able to give one example out of the what, 200 teams?

A quick search provided these. I am sure that I could provide numerous others with a little effort.

Jim Calhoun – Elite 8 in year 4 at UCon
Mike Anderson – Elite 8 year 3 Missouri
Sean Miller – Elite 8 year 4 Xavier

Did the USC lose change yours?

Who knew that you wanted an exhaustive list? You started in with the "historical powerhouses" argument, which always has the subtext that winning is impossible at a football school like UT. It so happens that the current #1 team in the country is a football school and has a coach who has a great record of tournament success. If it can happen at Texas, it can happen at Tennessee.

Donovan had success within 4 years too
How many years did it take Huggins to get Cincinnati to the Final Four after inheriting a Cincinnati program with eight scholarship players?
How many years did it take for Pitino to get Providence to the Final Four?

Yes, one time in his first 12 years. Mike Anderson took over a slightly better program at Missouri than Bruce was handed here. Same can be said for Xavier who was in the Elite 8 the year before Miller got there.

Thad Matta inherited a team on probation at Ohio State. How long did it take him to reach the Elite Eight?
How many years had Beilein been at West Virginia when they made the Elite Eight?

Exactly when were those 11 straight years? Good to see your grasp of fact is on the same level as your ability to analyze basketball.

Wow holy -. So you want Bruce to make it to the E8, and then get knocked out in the first or second round for a freaking decade? That's what will make you happy? Really? Get a grip man.

No, I'm saying you don't know what you're talking about because Huggins has never gone 11 years without making the second weekend of the tournament. If you're going to enter a debate, at least know what you're talking about.

Would that not revoke his membership in the BP Fan Club?

b asically what youre saying is you are nitpicking small details just to troll, because your overall point is so stupid you can't back it up with reasonable thought.

Sorry, 9 years.

Hire Bob Huggins because 1 sweet sixteen in a decade is fine by hatvols as long as there was an e8 appearance at some point.

Just so I can get the records straight regarding Huggins, are we only counting the years before or including the years after he vomited on his car door and asked the officers "Do you know who I am? You can't do this to me?"

Making his longest stretch of not making it of the second round 4 years.

No. I was simply showing you either don't know what you're talking about or you're a liar.

I'm a liar because I couldn't remember off the top of my head how many years in a row Bob Huggins completely failed as a coach in your opinion? Yet you use a man who was an utter failure at Cincinatti for almost a decade to push a point across. Who is being misleading again?
