Looking Up

I didn't realize Tennessee was the only team that faced adversity this season.

And I didn't state they were. I am very capable of saying what I say, without you adding unimplied rhetoric. If you don't stop, I'm going to log off.

The key would be not to break things in the first place. Bob Stoops doesn't have to rebound from losing seasons because Bob Stoops doesn't have losing seasons.

Except for a Texas loss, Stoops also would not be in a position to maybe play for the Big 12 either. According to alot of ya'll it's either a NC or SECC, or nothing at all. So, if we are not in one of those 2 games, does a respectable winning record matter.

no you're not reading our post at all... we want some occasionally.. stoops has definitely put OU in the Big XII title game a lot lately... that's all we want. we dont' have to have it either way... how many times must this point be posted?

To be completely fair it should also be noted that there was another one point game in there, Air Force, but that one doesn't really support the argument about improvement, so let's leave it out.

Sure. I think there is a difference of opinion re: what constitutes a "respectable winning record". For me losing 1-2 games to keep you out of SECCG but still having a crack at a BCS at-large is a respectable winning record. Finishing halfway down the line in the SEC is not.

Who are you?

If I weren't reading, how would I know to reply? And where did I ever imply I was complacent?

Let's be clear here. Stoops is in the Fearsome Big 2 out of 12 conference, correct. Where the winner of the north is usually 3 or 4 losses playing for a conference title.

if you were reading all the posts you would note that several people have posted your same stance that we want everything all the time and we have to continually say that no SECC in 8 years is too long. we would settle for 1 in 5 or even at large BCS berths, but we're not getting anything like that. bob stoops is, bowden is, coker is. sure they struggle from year to year, but not for periods this long

True. And changes were made. We had a shot and blew it with our starting QB sidelined. Produce next year or face some serious considerations. It's time for the staff to put up...

so you don't think our D had anything to do with it? not stopping mcfadden last saturday and allowing a 7 1/2 minute drive to close out the game and beat us against LSU? or not having a running game at all to support crompton?

Yes, I have read all those posts, and I am very aware that an acceptable regular appearance by most is within a five year rolling plan, and is a an average and reasonable expectation since you have to go through the East schedule to get there Don't patronize me if you don't stand over my shoulder watching me read. When was Bowdens last appearance in anything respectable. FSU is crumbling still, and we are atleast showing tides of change.

Gee Wally, did you not watch the game at all. Did I say O or D. THE TEAM blew it. This includes coaches. WE got stem rolled like a pancake. The DB's were wearing camo hoping #5 wouldn't see them as he brushed by.

Most of which I'm sure were earned on his last name. If they were in such good shape, how did he manage to fall apart so much faster than us. FSU lost it's intimidation when Richt went to GA. And I really do wish we were down there with the U.

explain to me how he's falling apart faster than us? he's having a down year this year, but umm again, we've been falling for 8 years, he's still been winning the ACC and going to BCS games

you said we lost w/ our qb being sidelined... that's what you said beav

I din't say we lost because he was on the sidelines. I said WE blew it with our starting QB on the sidelines. We had the same 60 minutes on both sides of the ball ARKY and LSU had.

I didn't realize the ACC awarded championships based on surnames.

I don't recall all 1 or 2 loss seasons for him the last 8 years. They weren't stellar last year. Even worse this year. I guess his down year is different than ours. None of his BCS lately had NC hopes, so it really was just another bowl game.
