Love this Dooley quote

I think Chuck Smith will eventually be a top flight defensive line coach. He's not now. Chaney's good, but nothing to get all fired up about.

I mean who were we going to go after as an OC? Chuck Smith I think will have an immediate impact and prove to be a huge asset to Tennessee.

None of these Coaches have a "Sexy" name, but I believe they all bring a piece to the puzzle and should turn out to be pretty good coaches if given enough time.

Monte invented a defense people and your bringing Hat a couple bowl appearances. Boo on you for not stopping and admitting we are screwed the sooner you all start accepting it the more Hat has to say!

I don't care what Monte did at Tampa. You're lying if you won't admit that his defense against the spread last year was a bit disappointing.

Orgeron is a joke. He isn't respected by hardly any coaches at all. Also, find out why he doesn't dare go back to the Miami area and that is all you need to know about this punk.
Lived in Miami and I guarantee I forget more about Miami's program than you know. O's not welcome there, but neither's Dennis Erickson. Neither of them give a damn.

Dan Williams kindly disagrees.

Dan Williams either had to crap or get off the pot this year since he was a senior. It was either going to be a great year for him or not. He chose to make it great for him by putting forth the effort to become better.

But none of them are named Kiffin or Orgeron, thus making them insignificant.

He didn't do too badly against the best spread offense in the college game down in the Swamp.

And why would they all the women are already infected and the red bull is stale. If you can't burn the bridge blow it up I say.

Eric you got to admit the Ogre was a good total package guy. I think he is a P.O.S. but the man can recruit and he can coach the line. Very good position coach/recruiter, crappy HC

Not sure how getting blown out by Oregon this year is going to be indicative of anything. This season is coming like a train and we're only halfway across the bridge. That's been the situation coming since Fulmer was canned, and wouldn't be undone with zero complete recruiting classes by the same coach in 3 years.

Not talking about the Miami program and I could care less about your knowledge of the program. The knowledge of a particular program doesn't make you an expert on the sport either. I am talking about the city of Miami.

So it's just pure coincidence that he starts playing well as soon as he gets a real coach.

If you take that approach, Saban is the head coach for 80% of this staff's major bowl appearances.

I am just pointing out that you can still be a good coach (Like Ed) but work under someone else. Ed got a shot at HC at a program with a decend budget and he failed miserably. But he is still reguarded as a good coach. Dooley could not do anything at Tech with his budget. That's not his fault. He has much more resources to work with here. Either way, the contracts are structured to last a long time. We might as well sit back and wait.

Yeah, that's why a bidding war breaks out every time he's on the open market.

What bidding war are you talking about? He was essentially fired from New Orleans and Kiffin wanted him on the staff.
He isn't well thought of by the Saints staff and being a potential hire by Les Miles isn't saying much either.
