Long term success is determined by the trenches. OL recruiting has been the weakest of any position group right along with TE. But it’s easier to pull quality transfers at TE and skill positions. No one is building an elite OL strictly through the portal.Only been 2 real recruiting classes so far. And we’ve had vets starting.
Haven’t seen any young TEs or DBs in that time, why no concern there?
Only seen Squirrel as a young guy who came in and has earned substantial snaps in WR room.
RB room has been the same dudes until the bowl game.
Just landed commitment from 25’ blue chip tight endLong term success is determined by the trenches. OL recruiting has been the weakest of any position group right along with TE. There’s only 5 allocated spots. Big12, Big10, SEC, ACC, FCS

Keep whiffing on recruits and that’s what you’re forced to do. Try to keep up. We’re in an OL portal thread.
Dooley sez: "That's an absolutely luxury of riches!"We signed two 4* OL and two 3* OL in this class. Last year we signed a 4* OL and three 3* OL.
Is taking 8 OL over two classes not considered building through HS recruiting? How many would you prefer we take each class?
We’re going to portal for 1 or 2 OL to supplement what we already have.
This class is the only class which looks solid, but it’s still not good enough. Needed Seaton. Our past classes are nowhere near good enough. AP and VQ have said multiple times how there are no obvious contributors, no one the staff is overly excited about. OL recruiting is concerning. It’s not an outlandish statement. We signed two 4* OL and two 3* OL in this class. Last year we signed a 4* OL and three 3* OL.

Anderson, Bennett, and Satterfield are all 4*s. So we signed 3 this year.We signed two 4* OL and two 3* OL in this class. Last year we signed a 4* OL and three 3* OL.

Neither do you but here you are arguing like a walk on isn't a problem and trying to use unmentioned sophomores as reasons the OL is fine.
LA VOL knows what he’s talking about. I’ll leave it at that.
Or perhaps some of that NIL money has gone to keep current players we’ve identified as crucial to next year’s success (ie Bru and Mays). As for taking L’s, just because we didn’t get some of the huge, flashy guys doesn’t mean we’ve been beaten at all points.
Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought Seaton contacted us out of the blue and acted like we had a real shot. I'm thinking in retrospect it was always a troll instigated by Prime to get more eyes on his program. This narrative that Colorado swept in at the end just seems too convenient.I didn't say he didn't. I said obviously we are willing to pay high dollar for players we really want. The track record there speaks for itself. Of course, maybe those weren't "bidding war situations." Though certainly it felt like Seaton was a big NIL guy and we reportedly had everyone else beat.
