On Dan Patrick show earlier. Followed up with, although he has had a contract extension on his desk since Friday. Said that's strange because he got a new extension in March. He went on to blame Jimmy Sexton, blah, blah, blah. Said Saban is friends with Brown and would never entertain the job if offered before Mack is gone.

That's the sticking point to all these rumors. Slimeballs like Petrino meet in tarmacs to steal jobs from coaches that haven't been fired. Saban (love him or hate him) would not do that.

I don't think Saban would refuse the Texas job out of loyalty to Mack Brown. That being said, I doubt that he's headed to Texas.

He wouldn't refuse the job, just wouldn't negotiate it while there is an incumbent that has not been publicly fired.

We fans hate other teams and their coaches but the coaches themselves are mostly friends. (Although there doesn't seem to be much love for Meyer).

5. James Franklin
6. Mike Gundy

9. Charlie Strong
10. Gus Malzahn
11. Bobby Petrino

Some I agree with, others not so sure. Don't see Saban, Briles, Gundy, Miles or Malzahn leaving where they are currently.

Shaw, Sumlin, Mora and Strong might consider the job and get into negotiations, but are long shots. Possibles though.

Franklin and Petrino would jump at the chance and be on the plane before their players even found out.
