Heard an "intercepted call" about the Russian backed guys bragging about downing a jet but then upon arriving at the crash scene seem confused as why all the civilians are lying dead..

My hunch is that it's going to turn out to be mistaken identification of the plane as military transport. Probably the Russian - backed separatists.

If Americans are confirmed on-board I believe its time to consider sending lethal military aid to Ukrainian forces.

Yep. If I was golfer in chief that is exactly what I would do. I would absolutely precipitate it with a peppering of tomahawk cruise missiles in that area where the separatists are operating.

Odd thing I noticed today with this story is that the area where the plane crashed has a village with part of my last name. Sooo the rocket guys must have been drunk.

Agreed, I support full sector sanctions on the Russian economy, and arming the Ukrainian military.

Apparently Russian state media is (or were) reporting that the Ukrainians may have thought the jet was on a route that Putin frequently takes for international travel, and thus shot it down.

The crazy never ends over there.

Nah Czech.

The village shares its name with other places in Czech Rep and Slovakia. The peoples originally came from an area in northern Germany where the spelling is a bit different though.

When you see names with the ending SKY the stuff before the SKY is usually the town .SKY means you're from so and so town/village/oblast/etc. In my case the town of origin in Germany got its name from yoke makers and the variety of tree they used.

Useless history lesson!

It's no wonder that their freaking crazy over in Russia. How the hell they read their own printed writing w/letters turned all backassward is amazing. I guess it looks & reads better after shots of ten straight vodkas.
