Malaysia Boeing 777

ты не можешь читать по-русски?? Не верю теба.

:zeitung_lesen: I almost hate to ask for the translation for this.

If it's the separatists

If it was a Russian (government)

Been wondering, as a practical matter, how much it really matters which side of the border the missile came from.

We all know that one is just an extension of the other. Russia shouldn't escape culpability just because a non-uniformed actor hit the fire button.

It matters a whole lot.

If the missile was fired from Ukrainian territory, the Russians can deny culpability and claim they had no control on what went on.

If it was fired from Russian sovereign territory on the other hand...

* Start the process of internal NATO/Ukrainian membership plans.

One suspects that amongst the non-ethnic-Russian Ukrainians, this can only nudge the country further towards the EU, possibly even NATO.

Shooting down an airliner--what an effin' brilliant move.

Had to be a mistake. I can't imagine even Putin and his proxy Russian troops in the Ukraine would be dumb enough to do something like this deliberately.

We are suppose to be the finest fight force in the world & after serving, seeing the people enlisted & the equipment constantly breaking & malfunctioning, I can easily see this as just being some terrible idiotic mistake.

For the last time, WWIII isn't happening because of a 777 being shot down in Eastern Europe. The Soviets shot down a Korean Airlines flight in the '80s with a US Congressman on-board and we didn't go to war than we sure as hell are not doing it now.

That, plus the fact that we shot down an Iranian airliner Flight 655.

I think that's one black box recording I wouldn't want to hear honestly. Probably nothing but deathly screaming on it.

Too quick for that I would imagine.

If the missile hit at or near the back of the plane, even if the fuselage popped like a balloon when hit at altitude, don't you think there would have been enough air at least in the cockpit to get a few words or screams in?

Morbid, but probably.

The wreckage was scattered over 9 kilometers. It would have been quick.

So basically if they didn't die from blunt force trauma from either the blast or debris then they would have suffocated.

BTW..

just a question, but what motivation would russia have to shoot this plane down?

Then ask, what motivation would the Ukrainians and western countries have to shoot this plane down?

RT has disabled their comments section. Claiming technical issues and maintenance. What a joke that site is!

Yes, we know. The US and Ukraine are behind this crash, and Russia has never done anything wrong in the history of ever, nor shall she.

Russia would probably have the same motivation your suggesting that the Ukrainians might have

He's suggesting that it's a false flag operation on the part of the West to garner unfettered international support and possibly even justify sending in military forces (or integrating Ukraine into NATO), while it wouldn't serve Russia in that manner.

Unfortunately, for Rasputin, the whole world and everything that happens in it isn't just one big conspiracy. Sometimes a drunk Russian in eastern Ukraine just shoots **** down that he probably shouldn't have.

I was just going simple. Blame the other guy for own motivations.

None - my speculation is:

1- Russian supplied equipment
2- Rebel force operators
3- Misidentified civilian aircraft as a Ukrainian transport jet (maybe there was actually one in the vicinity)
4- Blew it out of the sky
5- Now will try to separate itself from incident in any way possible
