It's really too bad that the feckless leadership declined to proceed with a vote that would have, lets face it, gone down in flames in the Senate. These PoS were apparently too worried about how this would affect them in swing state elections.

Forget that it's an obvious, right thing to do given that schedule 1 drugs are to be relegated to substances that have "no currently accepted medical use and a high potential of abuse." It's effing preposterous that this charade has gone on so long.

Go for it.

What about caffeine, pseudoephedrine....hell, even sugar and aspirin? All are more deadly than marijuana.

It’s crazy we are making illegal a naturally occurring plant that is edible and smokeable. By any religious account it is a natural creation of God, no? We don’t manufacture or process anything. It’s just a damn weed.

So is poppy.

I don’t have a problem with it but people need to be punished severely for driving high. Intoxicated driving is a mistake I’ve made that I was luckily not punished for, but it’s something we should not allow in our society. It ruins thousands of families

I've driven with both alcohol and cannabis in my system. Alcohol made me drive really fast and cannabis made me drive really slow, which is worse?

Neither are good. I don't think anyone should drive while impaired with any substance. I'm all for decriminalization of pot though. As with anything, everything is harmful if taken to extremes, whether it be food, alcohol, or pot.

So why did we stop?

Good question. It's not exactly good for immediate survival to be stoned out of your mind. Maybe they just ate it for sustenance and didn't see the cognitive benefit and abandoned it when they learned to eat better over time. It's a scavenger food and we became agrarian.

I know. I’ve already decided where I’m going to plant mine and the names I’m going to call my strains
