You were saying the same dribble last year about the Vols and the dance and how Lunardi had the Vols in the first out group and that all the Vols had to do was go _ and _ to make the tourney.

I wonder how many posts you made concerning how you thought that the Vols were going to make the tourney last year. You were dead wrong then and the way the Vols are playing this year, you will likely be wrong again.

Its good to know the ball thread Nazis are watching. It's just the way things are. People don't go to the doctor as much when they're well either. I guess you'd be happier if people didn't care at all. Well let me tell you, that appears to be exactly where Martin is taking it. I can well remember the Houston era. People lost interest and it took a long time before it came back.

Vols bball has been struggling every year with CCM at the helm and by struggling I mean not making the tourney.

To be honest most college BB is ugly now. Big men can"t shoot a 10-15 ft. jump shots anymore. Mostly jacked up three's and ugly drives to the basket.

Have u ever played sports.....something like that happens and it brings the team down not fires them up. Kind of like the way we play when disappointed about going to the nit...Do we play fired up to prove we belonged in the tourney?

Played college baseball. When my teams back was against the wall (or coach's because my school went through a similar situation) it lit a fire in us because we wanted to prove the haters wrong.

You can't use the NIT scenario. They were in the dance! He wasn't going to be fired until they lost and they rolled over.

Hypothetically, if that team made it to the final four or won it all would everything have played out the same way? I'm not sure, but rolling over and getting crushed by 30 certainly made the decision easier.

Wtf are you talking about dude? I loved Pearl while he was here. But I'm not a blind follower that will say he never did anything wrong. He was deservedly fired, and some people (like you) won't let it go.

Hopefully he'll be hired by someone else and you can follow him there.

Amen x 1000. Bash Pearl about lying if you want but anyone who bashes him about his success here looks like a damn fool. He's had success here that no one else has had and brought to life a near terminal basketball program.

Not trying to pick a fight but I can see getting fired up in football or basketball and it making a difference, but how does it help in baseball?

maybe an aggressive baserunner or something that builds momentum but you can't be fired up at the plate, unless you know one pitch is coming and can sit on it. Otherwise, 3 offspeed pitches to an angry or fired up hitter is an easy fix.
