I hope this is a joke. Playing unc and Kansas this year is a lot bigger test than most teams in CBB have faced. They've proven themselves more than any team in the country.

And lol if you honestly think duke would be a team to knock them off this year. Way too soft. If a team knocks them out look for it to be either Ohio state, Syracuse, or potentially north Carolina.

Martin has done much more with much less. However, Cal has the reputation which may carry him past Martin. My vote goes to Martin.

Cals reputation isn't a good one. There is a reason he has never been voted AP COY, or SEC COY, his peers don't think all that highly of the guy.

Can't say that I blame them. If anyone's persona or reputation were to help itd be martins.

Exactly. Ohio St, Syracuse and UNC are the teams that will give Ky more trouble than Duke. Duke relies on the 3 ball way too much. That will be their undoing. Ky gets their points in the paint and off defensive transition. Ky would be a bad matchup for them.

Could Duke get some favorable matchups and make the Final 4? Sure, but I like Ky's chances a lot better. They'll be favored in every game in the tourney. The pressure may be the only thing that beats Ky.

I honestly can't understand how you could say Duke wouldn't beat UK cut and dry. They've played just as many quality teams as UK and fairly just as well except against OSU which was early on in the year.

And why do you think this UK team is any different than the others who have choked? They have one player who plays great defense the rest are average.. if you don't think Coach K could draw up a gameplan to neutralize Davis defensively and to force UK to play perimeter basketball you are just drinking the koolaid.

They easily have enough talent to beat UK.

Tell me how Final Four and Elite Eight with freshmen is "choking"? I'll accept the fact that anything less than Final Four was a "failure" with Wall, Cousins, Patterson but come on, I'd say sweet sixteen would have been choking. Personally, after Billy G, Cal did a darn good job getting to Elite Eight (and then Final 4).

Then take the bet. I've watched enough hoops this year of both teams to say confidently that Ky would beat Duke. Duke is just getting by some teams at home (see Va Tech yesterday) that Ky would destroy at home.

If you think Davis is the only one playing defense, then yet again, you aren't watching much hoops. I doubt he's guarding the guards and wings on the perimeter.

And if I'm drinking the koolaid then Vegas is too. They've got Ky with 2:1 odds to win the title. Duke is 15:1. Seems Vegas is right way more than they are wrong. I think any rational person that looks at it without bias can see Ky is the better team. The eye test proves it to me. Either you need yours checked or you just can't admit that Ky is damn good because you hate them. I hate them too but I know a good team when I see them. Ky's main flaw would be their inexperience and youth, yet they've only lost 1 game. They play as a team and defend the hell out of you. I don't care who you are a fan of, that's fun to watch if you take off your blinders.

KY would beat Duke any night. Davis would shut down interior and the length of Miller, MKG, Lamb, and Teague would stop threes. I just dont see how Duke shoots over UK enough to beat them.

Duke would have to shoot out of their minds to beat Ky. Is it possible? Sure, anything can happen in one game. Is it probable? Uh, no.

Lol at UK has one player and the rest are average. That statement right there is just straight comedy. Also, to your argument that Cal can't in game coach, you are just wrong. Just watch a replay of the Mississippi State game. Obviously anyone can beat anyone in any given day. However, They are hands down the best team in the nation and it is not even close.

The one that succeeded shot lights out from the perimeter, got manhandled inside, and baptised Davis. He is no longer a boy, he is a man-child and UK would beat IU 10 out of 10 times if they played 10 more games.

You are severely overestimating Cal's ability to lead a team in the tournament. There's no doubt they have the talent but they do not have the coach. I'll bet you UK doesn't win the tournament. Whoever loses says adios to Volnation for life. C'mon Charles take the bet since you seem to want to be a gamblin' man.

Why not? He's lead three teams to Final Fours, and two to the national championship, at two programs which isn't that easy to win.

I have a good feeling he'll have a heaping dose of crow in April of this year. This UK team is different than any of Cal's others. This team plays defense and plays within a team concept, as opposed to a collection of elite individual talent.
