So you'd feel comfortable placing money on it that on march 1st, 2014 Cuonzo Martin will no longer be the coach at Tennessee?

I would LOVE to lay some money on this with you, what do ya say??? Let's see how confident you are in this "evidence"

If any bb coach are UT gets a raise and contract extension it should be Holly Warlick . She has actually accomplished something. Under her leadership the Lady Vols are in the elite 8.
At the same time Martin has never taken any team to the NCAA tourney, instead he loses in the first round of the NIT.

Sounds like something UTAD would do. Give a raise to a coach of a program that loses money for making an elite 8 run in an 8 team sport.

You're right he's above mediocre...mediocre would be considered average, his record at Tennessee is way over .500 (average)

Criticisms of missing the dance as stuff are fine, and accurate, but to act as in he's a .500 coach at tennessee is just incorrect, he's finishes 2nd and 5th in the SEC in his two years.

Wichita St coach has earned 200k in bonus money for reaching the FF --- maybe that is how to give Martin his extension -- win something

That logic only holds if all NCAA basketball programs are created equal. Are you saying UT is on equal footing with South Carolina and Western North Carolina?

When in the same conference, yes. Martin is 21-13 in conference. With no .500 years in conference. That is above mediocre.
