Marvel's Black Panther

None of those movies are at the celebrated level for black future or whatever than this is. People are saying this will “Prove” something about black society in Africa. This is a fictional setting with a science fiction story about a superhero. The talk is hilarious. Also, please point out the specific movies with the vast inspiration for white people specifically. If you can even find any, go ahead and compare the buzz to this movie. Thank you.

Lol, getting psychoanalyzed from our resident - hey, wait a minute! -, this is exactly like Huffland! Hahahaha now I get it. You’re always living in your make believe reality and thus you defend this one!

Lmao. Can’t make this stuff up

Lol believe me he is not the only one who has psychoanalyzed you. For my money you are the most miserable person who posts here.

I enjoyed it. I found the villain to be fascinating.

Looking through this thread, the responses are pretty much what I expected from who I expected.

Some folks aren’t happy unless they’re unhappy.

Am I going to be entertained, but let down at the same time again?

I finally watched “Get Out”.

At the end, I was of the opinion “yea, that was a good movie”.

But what the hell was all the fuss over??? It wasn’t THAT good....

I have a feeling I'll enjoy Black Panther more than Get Out. I was in the same boat as you. I looked at it as a decent movie for a first time director..but it wasn't a horror film and I didn't get the hype. Must be my zero interaction with police during my life or something.

Aww, my feelings.

Speaking of miserable, I don’t need a fictional movie to inspire me nor use as proof that in an alternate reality my culture is advanced.

I’ll sit here and be miserable, you sit there and continue to be pathetic. Lol

To me, it's not just about how good either one of these movies is, it's that they were also imaginative and unique.

One of the best things about Black Panther is that it had an imperfect hero and a sympathetic villain. When they first clashed, i was conflicted about who i wanted to win.

What kind of dashiki did you wear?

I'm torn between pan arab colors dashiki, a harry potter cloak, or an ewok costume..

Zack: “Man I am really excited about this movie. I loved it. I can’t wait to see discussion about it Friday night when people go to see it.”

Reality: I have to go delete 20 posts so I can try to stir the conversation towards the movie and not about race only.

So anyways, imma try and correct this:

Was anyone surprised Captain America didn’t show up? He was in Wakanda during this time and I get Bucky was frozen but I was wondering if they would address where Cap was

How do you not get that you are the pathetic one? Z is so ashamed of your prejudiced posts he will not allow them to exist.

Really good. Rundown of my thoughts

Of the more recent MCU films, I liked it better than Spider Man but not as much as Ragnarok.

As stated before, Michael B Jordan is probably the best aspect of the movie. Definitely a villain you can sympathize with. Overall this is one of the better stories of any MCU film. Definitely the least humorous movie in recent MCU history, and I’m ok with that.

All that being said, Marvel/Disney still can’t help but include typical cliche’s. During the final battle scene, I think we all knew the bad guys were going to “start winning” and the rebellious Jabari tribe would come save the day at the last second. That was easy to foresee, and the concept is way overdone.

That’s really my only gripe with the movie. Other than that, very enjoyable. I would put it in the upper half of the MCU on storyline and acting alone.

People are using a science fiction superhero movie in an alternate reality to use as fact that their culture would be advanced.

That. Is. Pathetic.

I’m going to see the movie, I enjoy the Marvel franchise. I sure this one is great. Of course, I understand that they’re just movies....... yeah, that’s pathetic lol

Walking back your original statement, i see. I'd paraphrase it, but it would just get deleted (for the 5th time), unlike the above statement that Z will allow.
