Anger over BLM's Purchase of $8.1 Million Toronto Mansion Grows as Group's Finances Scrutinized

Canadian Black Lives Matter activists are furious over the group's recent $8.1 million cash purchase of a mansion in downtown Toronto that once served as the headquarters of the Communist Party of Canada .

The U.S. charity that serves as the face of the BLM movement provided the bulk of the funding for the purchase of the 10,000-square-foot property in July. The purchase flew largely under the radar at the time, but anger has now reached a boiling point amid other revelations about BLM's management and its finances.

"For BLM Canada to take money from BLM Global Network [Foundation] for a building without consulting the community was unethical," Canadian BLM activists Sarah Jama and Sahra Soudi said in a recent statement. "For BLM Canada to refuse to answer questions from young Black organizers goes against the spirit of movement-building."

Jama and Soudi said they resigned from the steering committee of BLM's Toronto chapter after the leaders of BLM Canada refused to answer any questions about the purchase and tried to get them to sign exploitative nondisclosure agreements.

"In other words, the NDA was designed as a constant threat of legal action against us, even though we were volunteering our time to a cause we believed in," the activists said.

BLM Canada said the Toronto property, which they dubbed the Wildseed Centre for Art and Activism, would serve as a "vessel that seeks to nurture Black radical creation in Toronto and beyond."

Real estate records obtained by the Washington Examiner show that BLM Canada, which also goes by M4BJ, purchased the property for $8.1 million on July 13, 2021. The purchase came just weeks after the group's co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, resigned amid scrutiny of her own personal real estate purchases across the United States.

BLM Canada co-founder Rodney Diverlus said in July that BLM Canada purchased the property "outright."

Where is BLM's office? It’s a mystery

BLM Canada accessed a "restricted capital grant" from the movement's national arm to purchase the property, Hudson explained during an interview in August with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

This just goes to show anyone with just a hint of common sense that BLM doesn’t believe in the crap they spew out of their own mouths and anyone that follows such a fraud does it knowingly and willingly. 8.1 million could’ve made a dent in the quality of life in inner cities such as Chicago. Oh ,...... my bad. I forgot. Common sense tells me they don’t care

I like black people. I think their culture makes them some of the funniest people on earth and really enjoy my black friends company. However, when I say “people”, I mean actual human beings. Not animals. BLM are misinformed, overreacting, scum of the earth, ******* animals. If I were black, I would be ashamed of those POS human beings attempting to represent me.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors Tied To Other Groups with Spending ‘Red Flags’: Report

Patrisse-Cullors-01-1.jpg

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has reportedly been linked to other groups with spending "red flags."

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors — who resigned in the wake of a Post expose of her spending spree on lavish homes — is tied to several other fundraising organizations whose finances raise “potential red flags,” according to a new report.

One of the groups, Reform LA Jails, in 2019 collected more than $1.4 million, of which $205,000 went to a consulting company owned by Cullors and her spouse Janaya Khan, New York magazine said.

Another $211,000 was paid to Cullors’ pal Asha Bandele, who co-wrote her memoir, and about $86,000 was paid to an entertainment, clothing and consulting company called Trap Heals, which was started by Damon Turner, the father of Cullors’ child, according to the report.

Reform LA Jails also reportedly paid $270,000 to a consulting company run by its treasurer, Christman Bowers, who’s also known as Shalomya Bowers and has signed tax documents as the deputy executive director of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, which reportedly has $60 million its coffers but no leader since Cullors quit under fire in May.

California threatens to hold BLM's leaders personally liable over missing financial records

The California Department of Justice has threatened to hold the leaders of Black Lives Matter personally liable if they fail to fork over information about the charity's $60 million bankroll within the next 60 days, according to a letter obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The move came just days after a Washington Examiner investigation found that BLM has had no known leader in charge of its millions since its co-founder resigned in May and that the Los Angeles address it lists on its tax forms is wrong.

"The organization BLACK LIVES MATTER GLOBAL NETWORK FOUNDATION, INC. is delinquent with The Registry of Charitable Trusts for failing to submit required annual report(s)," reads the letter, dated Jan. 31.

BLM is also prohibited from "soliciting or disbursing charitable funds" in California until it submits its 2020 Form 990 and other financial records to the state, the California DOJ informed the charity Monday. The letter added that the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the legal entity that represents the national BLM movement, faces fines for "each month or partial month for which the report(s) are delinquent."

California's warning to BLM comes just weeks after Washington ordered the charity to "immediately cease" fundraising in the liberal state due to its lack of financial transparency. Despite the order, BLM continues to solicit and receive contributions from Washington residents.

Think of all the shcmuck corps and orgs..like NFL and NBA that fell for this nonsense. Burning our freaking cities down and they supported this crazy lawlessness. I tell you what they actually did and still do..some cult like ideology that the ends justify the means.

They all fell for the scam and pre-paid the extorsion. Nothing else.

Indiana attorney general says BLM's 'house of cards' starting to fall amid financial questions

Indiana's attorney general criticized Black Lives Matter, calling it a "house of cards" and making his state the latest to raise questions about the charity's finances.

Todd Rokita told the Washington Examiner the group that took in tens of millions of dollars amid the racial protests and riots of 2020, and now won't answer questions about its finances, fits a common and disturbing pattern.

"It appears that the house of cards may be falling, and this happens eventually with nearly every scam, scheme, or illegal enterprise," Rokita, a Republican, said in an exclusive interview. "I see patterns that scams kind of universally take: failure to provide board members, failure to provide even executive directors, failure to make your filings available. It all leads to suspicion."

The collapse of the BLM's scandal-plagued charity will hurt black people, and its donors, who were only ever interested in their own self-righteousness, are to blame, writes KIRA DAVIS

You've seen the logo everywhere by now. You see it emblazoned on t-shirts and team shirts, billboards and surfboards, buses and bus stops. It's everywhere.

Now it may stand as one of the biggest charity scandals in recent memory.

Founding BLMGNF member Patrisse Cullors didn't waste any time in finding herself in a financial scandal and has since stepped down.

Cullors, a committed socialist and a woman who once bragged she was a trained Marxist, suddenly found herself the proud owner of over $3 million in personal real estate holdings.

Who is minding the store?

No one seems to know.

Black Lives Matter Drops from ActBlue following Washington Examiner exposé

Black Lives Matter's fundraising pages on ActBlue were deactivated Friday, a day after the Washington Examiner exposed that BLM was still accepting donations on the Democratic platform despite claiming it had stopped amid questions about its finances.

California and Washington state ordered BLM in January to cease soliciting contributions in their states until it discloses its finances for 2020, the year it raked in tens of millions during the nationwide unrest prompted by George Floyd's killing at the hands of police. BLM said Wednesday it had shut down online fundraising while it sorts out its compliance issues, but the group continued to accept charitable contributions through its ActBlue fundraising pages as recently as Thursday afternoon.

The ActBlue pages were shuttered less than a day after an unidentified BLM spokesperson claimed Thursday afternoon that the pages were"not active" despite the fact that the pages had continued to accept charitable contributions for BLM into the evening.

I wonder how our resident lefties that donated to this crap show feel right about now.

LOL

"BLM talking on TV
Puttin down the rock and roll
Wants you to send a donation
Cause they worried about your soul"

Suckers.
I didn't donate, but I am a resident leftie, so I'll answer.

I would guess they feel about the same as people who donated to "stop the steal", "build the wall", or any other Trump scam.

Crazy how these Marxists cannot wait to spend on their lavish lifestyles. You may have the police and local leaders fooled...but never ever withhold from. the IRS
