If mass shootings are so high why is the white homicide rate on par with Canada?

That seems like an important question. And your data isn’t showing overwhelmingly white but rather proportionally white, which is to be expected.

So if these are so common, why are the homicide rates of white Americans on par with Canadians? You keep ignoring the question. Because the answer implies the problem isn’t guns

Edit: I’ll add one more thing, because data on this fact is far more prevalent. Every year the majority of homicides are committed by black Americans. So 13% of the population represents over 50% of homicides. The homicide rate is typically around 5-6 per 100k in this country. That means the white rate has to be far below 5 per 100k (closer to 2-3) and the black rate hate to be far above 5-6 (roughly 15-20 depending on the year)

So if the problem is “guns”, why are they not a problem in white hands? Or is the problem something other than guns?

Why don’t you read the story about DEA agents frisking random passengers at airports and seizing money without proof of a crime. Or the ACLU article about the disturbing rise in civil asset forfeiture. You do know what the ACLU is right?

Well I don't know the white homicide rate in the US vs Canada. So if you'll provide those figures along with a link, ill respond. Forgive me for not taking your word for it. I do know for fact the overall homicide rate in Canada is substantially lower than the US.

I will say for complete clarity I’m not comparing the same years. Only because there’s few sources that calculate the rate by race. So I’m using what I have for the white rate vs the most recent I could find for Canada.

Obviously these vary slightly by year but remain pretty close

We have them now....This latest shooter had documented mental issues but most such people don't even get diagnosed much less treated. And there are huge numbers of such people, which is precisely why any sane nation would not make military-style weapons widely and easily available. It's a disgrace....though not to the rubes, of course.

Drug enforcement officers all over the world check people and their bags for drugs or other illegal contraband---at border crossings and airports--and let's be glad they do as there is a vast amount of smuggling, and they uncover a lot of drugs. There are also limits on how much money people can take into foreign countries....I though conservatives were bullish on law enforcement?

Any sane society would avoid a turnstile legal system that allows people convicted of 50-60 crimes to be back on the streets in 45 minutes. It’s a disgrace…..though not to……whatever you are.

I never said a word about them searching for drugs. I complained about them seizing money and putting the burden of proof on citizens to prove it was legally gotten which is what the rubes call “unconstitutional “. Also these were domestic flights with a domestic destination. Keep up Earl.

One thing is for sure, Americans committ too many acts of violence towards one another when dealing with their inner demons crazy or not. Personally, I don’t believe it is a gun problem but rather an evil mindset that is far too prevalent in our society.

Yes, every year the overall homicide rate is around 5-6. But the majority of those are committed by roughly 13% of the population. So if over half of those are committed by 13% it implies the white rate (2-3 depending on the year)is far below 5-6 and the black rate is far above (15-20 depending on the year).

What part of that are you disagreeing with?

Edit: I’ll add that your “10 years out of date” comment isn’t wrong, but sadly this data isn’t done often. If you have more recent white homicide rates I’m open
