its a problem for both sides. Right now the Dems are in power, so the Rs are in the attack mode. When the Rs take back over the Dems will go in attack mode. Both sides will "whatabout" the other, and the nation will just get worse and worse as both sides only blame the other.

How many of these locals had gone thru a similar event to be able to make that comparison? I've not seen these videos you cite but what is being described as a "natural fire"? Are we talking cause of ignition? How the fires actually behave? I pretty much agree. a counter source is to be as trusted as a "main source". I still take the "read both sides, see what they say in common, and then go look for verification".

heck half the time actually just reading whatever article you find from whatever source would do everyone a lot of good. most of these articles rely on people just reading some click bait title and getting offended enough to not actually verify what is even in the article, yet alone what actually happened.. Usually if you read the article the text says something far different from the headline. or at least provides some modicum of context. its one of the reasons I rag on LG for rarely providing an actual link. How many of his threads go: "Can you believe this crap by *insert Conservative here*. and then the comment just says "discuss", no context, no link, no explanation, just outrage.

and yes plenty of people on the right here in this forum do it too, probably more by volume, but less by percentage. LG just wants people to think it started with Trump, or somehow just became a problem with Trump.
