Megan Rapinoe & The US Soccer Team

I don't think it's a big deal if they don't sing and I don't think it's a big deal if Jimmy Joe JimBob boycotts bud light either, but we both know someone is gonna whine about both. Murica!!

I was at a bar this weekend with a Republican and a moderate friend who were both drinking Bud Light and some demented soul with a MAGA hat on approached them to troll about drinking BL. It's not a big deal to boycott, but damn, some people are insufferable.

You should have punched him in the dentures.

I will say the memes on Instagram right now regarding Bud light are gold

Only if he puts his hands on him. Otherwise, it's never wise to react physically to a verbal insult. It can get you varying assault charges, in criminal court. Never mind the civil suits that might follow a conviction

Alex Morgan still looks good. I saw a pic of Rapinoe and she looks like she could be on the terminally ill wing.

That's because you're ignorant. More viewers than the Men's recent Nations cup final (which they won).
What?

the Conacacaf Nations Cup is about 3 steps down, at least, from the World Cup. most Americans didn't even know the the US was in the finals, but every American knows when the world cup is going on. Not necessarily because they care, but its out there. Conacacaf league play is never mentioned. I doubt they were even broadcast on the same networks/options.

I am not even sure what to compare it to. Closest I can come to is like saying viewership for the Maui Invitational should be the same as March Madness in basketball.

Well, I certainly didn't make any statement about them being comparable events. Whatever you want to say about it, it was high viewership.

And nobody ever, ever remembers who won the Maui invitational and that doesn't go on your team's wiki page, but a Nations Cup does. Those 2 events certainly aren't comparable.

you literally used the Nation's cup viewership as a comparison to the viewership in the World Cup. you pointed out there were more people watching, anD arguing the women's viewership was higher. It was, but on completely different events, a terrible comparison to make.

and yeah, I said I didn't have a good comparison because no one ever freaking compares the Nation Cup to the World Cup even for viewership.

In no way am I saying that the women are outdoing the men. That wasn't the point. The point was that the women had big viewership, LOL. There was no need to come in and defend the men. We all realize the WC is bigger than the Nations League cup. That goes without saying, but thanks for saying it.

I should have said it had more viewership than any TV program that weekend. Are those events comparable? Even less so. But it would have avoided this annoyance.

At this point the USWNT is like watching paint dry. They better step it up against Sweden or they're gonna get bounced.
