Was that zero goals in 180 minutes + stoppage time? I can definitely see why some people just don't watch soccer in general.

They're unlikable.

I don't watch it because I can't stand the "quality" of women's soccer. It's got a lot of JV highschool to it. No offense to them. Just not my cup of tea. Don't wish their failure because of it though.

Aww I got mentioned.. y’all make me blush.. ps I also don’t like soccer.. we went to Geodis park and caught a Nashville soccer game and it was the single most boring sporting event I have ever attended…(beer consumption didn’t even help)... I enjoyed playing soccer as a little girl because I was playing it, not watching it… it is booo-ring to watch, like golf.. not even hot Argentinian men, David Beckham, or Shakira’s husband lure me in 😂 (I know I will get zero likes due to the aforementioned hot men reference) lol

When you focus more on your own image and social causes rather than your sport and your team, you end up losing to Sweden.

I'm all for speaking out for your causes, but if they mean that much to you, do it on your own time and own dime. It shouldn't cross over into the sport.

And no, I didn't want to see them lose. I wanted them to win. But there is no denying the distractions they have created for themselves.

I'm not one that wanted to see them lose, but I could see it coming. Their focus was more on social causes and self-image than it was on the game itself. They created too many distractions for themselves. Just play the damn game. Even if you don't take pride in our country, take enough pride in yourself to put the game above all this other nonsense. Fight for your causes on your own time.

I haven't been paying much attention, but from what I've seen, the group seems to be more focused on petty in-fighting than social causes this time around.

I haven't seen the in-fighting. I did see where former player, now commentator, Carli Lloyd called them out over basically the same thing I said.

Yeah, IDK what people are talking about with the social causes this time around. They won the whole damn thing last time with those distractions. They got their raise. They're not kneeling for the flag anymore. What social causes are a distraction? Pink hair?

Yeah, the group is obviously not cohesive, but I think people complaining about politics are still carrying the butthurt from 4 years ago.
