Meyer stepping down

Doesnt matter if he won mostly because of Tebow or not. He's the reason Tebow was there, so he gets the credit for it.

Stop with the wishful thinking, not going to happen, you also myst not know the name Phil Knight and his little company Nike.

Oregon can pay him whatever.

i very much doubt phil will pay him florida level money. he didn't do that for the bball coach.

Are you just typing verbatim what Clay Travis is saying on 3 hour lunch... Atleast come with your own opinion here...

No, I can't stand Clay. I haven't listened to him in a good while. I think it has a lot to do with USC being on probation. If Clay and I agree, it would be one of the first times.

Disagree. There quite a bit more competetion in the SEC than he'd have in the Pac10, and he'll be able to pull the CA talent considering USC is on probation.

then why isn't he doing it this year? fact remains so cal kids generaly don't want to go outside california.

Keley can win the Pac 10 much easier than he could the SEC. He'll get as much money from Oregon as he could get from FL. He may entertain FL in order to get a raise at Oregon, but I doubt he leaves Oregon due to being set for 5 to 10 years in the Pac 10.

And don't think Oregon won't match -- Eugene may be in the middle of an area devoid of talent, but UofO can go dollar for dollar with any program in the country without breaking a sweat.

Among other things, I don't see Florida risking the amount of money it would take Kelly to leave Eugene. $4-4.5mil guaranteed through 2017, on top of a $4mil buyout from Oregon. They'd have to be willing to commit somewhere in the ballpark of $30mil to Kelly.

Urban Meyer tells players he's retiring via text message. Classy.

i am willing to bet heavily that the next coach at florida will be dan mullen for a lot of reasons.

Did he need to? He may have not paid the BB coach because it wasn't required to get what they wanted. Does Ordegon value BB as much as football?

bye urban legend

Florida can get any coach they want. They are not in the same situation UT was in.

IMO this will only make the Gators better. They were heading downhill fast.

Being Nike's child, they do. They just sank a bunch of money into a new arena. But they're in the process of rebuilding what Ernie Kent ran into the ground.
