When KY purchased that huge poster of Josh Allen on draft day in Nashville I knew then the boosters are spending on football again. They use to come to Orange Mound and pay for all the Melrose High kids right after Fulmer signed Cedric Wilson. Stoops got alot of defensive players drafted in high rounds this past draft. He signed these two and three stars and developed them into bonafide ball players. Kudos to himEveryone cheats.
I think they got caught paying the Melrose players. Kentucky's recruiting coordinator was using money orders. When KY purchased that huge poster of Josh Allen on draft day in Nashville I knew then the boosters are spending on football again. I've followed 30 years also. It is always funny when posts of mass hysteria come through about the sky falling in May because we may have lost a recruit we never had. We are at the bottom. Got to climb the ladder which will have to include results on the field. It may be a slow climb back.I’ve followed Recruiting for 30 years, I know how it works. But it’s always fun when these posts come in - more Volsplaining.

I don't think anyone is making excuses, just being realists. Early signing day is over 7 months away, with a whole football season to play. Tennessee's 20' class will finish ranked 5-7 in February. So pull those panties out of your crack, sit back, and enjoy the ride.Continue making excuses... This staff isn't earning their paychecks. Bottom line.

Uh, yeah, I'd say their post was directed at you considering they quoted your post in their post.Presumably your post about following Recruiting was directed at me, so I’d be interested to know your definition of “hysteria.” I may be biased, but I don’t think my post quite fits; I think my perspective on how Recruiting is going simply differs from yours.
I kind of take the opposite approach with following recruiting. If you don’t want to experience the highs and lows of it, why bother following at all? Just wait to see how they do on the field in the fall, because that’s all that matters, right?
It's that time of year, the slow period. Not much has happened or likely to immediately. Makes it easy to to pull the doom and gloom schtick because they can ride it out a little longer during the slow period.
Its still way early unless its qb recruiting we a talking about. 7 or 8 wins this year will help with recruiting.
