I don't see the big deal here. The kid can play football, and is headed to the NFL with a ton more reps than Bryce Brown. Unless he's a DRogers-caliber idiot x 2, he'll likely behave long enough to rack up a few hundred yards in 2013.
Was just informed by a lifelong friend of mine who works at 247 that Dyer has chosen and been granted a transfer to UT. I'm unsure as to how he came across this information or of its legitimacy. But just figured I'd let y'all know of the rumors round the 247 neighborhood.
If true, what are your thoughts?
Part of me wants him to become a Vol b/c he is talented(from what I saw at Auburn) but the other part of me doesn't b/c of all the issues that come with him and I don't think that's a risk we need to take. I would really hate for us to lose that momentum we have now b/c of a bad choice. Think I'll just let Butch decide.
For the record I'm not totally against second chances, just don't think we need to take a risk in this case.:twocents:
Butch would have to truly believe this young man has his act together to offer. It's Butch's first year and I'm 100% positive he doesn't want any unreasonable risks tagged to him or Tennessee. If it goes South it would be such bad PR for Butch as well as Tennessee, on the other hand if the young man keeps his head straight AND produced on the field it would be great for both parties. In the end I'd say the chance isn't worth it.
Can anyone validate the OP claim or is this just some grudenite's wet dream?

What risk? He'll be in Knoxville for 4 months, then will go to the NFL. It would be a darn shame not to make the most of our fabulous (and departing) OLine.
Lol kid has one good season with a natl championship OL/QB, and he's all of a sudden a one and gone to the nfl? He hasn't played football in 2 years and has been kicked off two teams. No way he's going to be at championship level physically or mentally.
Someone mentioned earlier that our APR cannot afford the hit a non graduate would cost us.
