Heard for the longest time he'd be at Louisville, now there are rumors about Tennessee getting in the mix.
I think if you are any SEC East team, you would like for him to end up playing for Charlie Strong. The Vols get a dynamic running back like that with their offensive line and it becomes a very different situation on offense in Knoxville this season.

Shurburtt or Hubbs?
I don't take what Hubbs said as bad. I think what he said is good for UT's chances. If Butch had no interest in Dyer and wasn't trying to get him Hubbs would have likely said something like, "I don't believe UT has any interest." Just like he did with the Texas transfer QB. Many times you have to read between the lines with Hubbs. I could be wrong and just being blinded because I desperately want Dyer on the team. We'll find out where he ends up very soon. I really really really hope it's UT. IMO
Interesting take on Hubbs, although I'm still not getting my hopes up.
If Dyer does come, though, I'm with Shurburtt in believing that changes the dynamics of our season. I think we could go toe to toe with anyone in the East, if we have a dynamic, proven playmaker like Dyer in our backfield. It would just take so much pressure off our QB and WRs and allow them to develop at a normal pace, IMO.
Exactly. A really good RB behind this OL will be the difference between 6-7 wins and possibly 8-9 wins this fall. It's a big deal and I hope Butch takes him. With all the good Butch has done for UT football I think he's earned the right to take a chance on Dyer. He only has to be on campus for 5 months, that's it. Put him on a short leash, have 2-3 guys follow him around 24/7 and keep him focused on running the rock in the teeth of SEC defenses.

Assign Tiny, Fulton, James, and Stone six hour shifts to babysit if we have to. We need this kid.
