You should tell your wife/girlfriend whatever that you being straight only means you like to stick it in a vagina. I'm sure she will really appreciate that.
The definition of innate isn't likely what you were searching for. Innate means natural.
I think you can be born naturally heterosexual or homosexual. Brain chemistry dictates it IMO. Some people choose it as a lifestyle, sure, but I believe that is a serious minority. Sometimes people are traumatized by severe sexual experiences at a young age, this can alter your sexuality as well.
If you believe in brain chemistry at all, I don't know how you can't fathom that it is possible that people are just born that way.
Actually innate means instinctual, born with. That's why behavior and trait (gene) go with it. I understand chemistry quite well and could see how that argument would sound convincing, but everyone's internal chemistry is based on 23 pairs of chromosomes. Though we don't know everything about how they work, there is a very good understanding of how they work. The chemistry idea just doesn't balance.
You're right my bad.

My point. He likes ManStuff.
He announced it himself! Don't get on to me for realizing what he means by that.

Schizophrenia, Bi-polar disorder, autism, dyslexia. Those are all learned behaviors then?
I'm glad you can speak for gay people to know that being gay means just sticking it in holes and hands. That's all there is to gay people. Just sex.
I'm sure they love each other. That's not the aspect I'm talking about.
I was actually responding to the fact someone posted Sam was not announcing his sexual preferences. I believe he was. An if that's the case. I sure those are the only ways gay men can Show their love.
I get that. I'm also libertarian. I wish I lived in a United States where Michael Sam's sexuality means nothing.
That's not the American we live in today however.
And again, Michael Same isn't really stating his sexual preferences. We think of gay people as just "they like sex with men" but it's much deeper than that.
Ok, then use your argument to explain why homosexuality couldn't be similar in chmestry to one of those things I listed.
Just a little research shows, ASD and schizophrenia are possibly caused by genetics and ones environment, so I recant it appears scientists think it is partly learned and they admit they don't have many answers.
So you are saying homosexuality is a disease?
No of course not, just look up the definition of innate and learned behaviors, they are not the same.

Yeah maybe in a couple generations we can have sex with anything and it's cool wit everyone. Soon we an walk around with animals in our purses (even men can in a couple generations) and when people come up they can ask. "Oh! Is this your pet or your lover?"
Just sayin
I'm so sick of people like you. I hate having to cater to the lowest common denominator. Equating homosexuality with beastiality is asinine and ignorant. We are talking about human beings, they aren't animals, criminals, deviants or sadists. It's about letting people love who they want to love, two people connecting and sharing that love with each other, you know... like everyone else does. Why is it so difficult to understand that it's not about sex or sexual intercourse, their sexuality does not define them. Being gay simply means you are attracted to members of the same sex, it doesn't make you a sexual deviant. ffs
