Michigan will skate because in the long-standing two-tier NCAA enforcement scheme -- that absolutely affects game outcomes -- they are in the cheat-impunity-bracket, along with Bama football and Kansas basketball, to name a few.The Big Sissies aren't going to kick MI out of the conference. No way that happens.
I know. Thats what I am saying in response to anyone that says Harbaugh had no idea. Can you imagine any coach with that kind of pressure on him is going to rely on a staffer and when staffer is super accurate in calls is not going to be inquisitive of how he knows everything he is seeing and calling. Its absurd to think Harbaugh had no knowledge of Stallions actions. There is a video out there of Stalion calling out a coverage directly to Harbaugh’s face.
Yeah I imagine if booted a whole school over this then that restructured Big10 television contract would be scrapped and some of those Big 10 teams would reach out to SEC, ACC and Big12. If not then definitely Michigan would reach out and every single conference would take them and their brand.MI is still a cash cow for them so no way they will expel them from the conference.
All of this rigamarole and style of coverage basically aims to cover up by far the largest aspect of Michigan's violations: allegedly providing illegally stolen signs to the opponents of potential playoff teams for the purpose of illicitly changing the composition of the 2022 playoff teams. All parties -- B1G, SEC, CFP, NCAA, the networks, and gravy-train media need that story buried despite (or because!) of the evidence. It taints the credibility of last year's playoff and championship.
When you hear B1G coaches say things like "something needs to be done before the playoffs are effected," that is your cue to notice the implicit effort -- in the teeth of allegations and evidence, and with no evidence at all in its own support -- to convince the gullible by suppression of the story that the playoffs were not affected last year.
Secondly, the computer scandal at Michigan in February is being left uncovered, too, as I have noted multiple times during this calendar year (before the cheating scandal emerged). All details in that case -- which appears to involve Michigan's university administration in addition to Harbaugh's football staff -- have been covered up by UM, the media, the NCAA, and (likely) law enforcement from the time of the dismissal of the Assistant OC to the present.
When asked about it, Harbaugh went with the oldest trick in the book: plausible deniability. All coaches do it.I know. Thats what I am saying in response to anyone that says Harbaugh had no idea. I agree with him. All coaches try to steal signs BUT Michigan is the only ones allegedly found to be doing it via breaking NCAA rules by scouting teams via travel instead of doing it in game. When asked about it, Harbaugh went with the oldest trick in the book: plausible deniability. All coaches do it.
I guarantee Harbaugh and Michigan have their legal teams already hanging out at a courthouse awaiting this announcement. As soon as the shoe drops, and if the news is bad for Michigan/Harbaugh, injunctions will be issued ten minutes later. The Big Ten is reportedly preparing a notice of disciplinary action against the Michigan Wolverines football program and head coach Jim Harbaugh ahead of the team’s trip to Penn State on Friday. According to an updated timeline from CFB insider Heather Dinich, the notice could come out before or even while the team is en route to State College.
“Sources indicate that the Big Ten will give Michigan a response early this afternoon,” Dinich said on Get Up. “Michigan leaves at 1 p.m., they’ll fly mid-afternoon… Last night, Michigan sources indicated to me and my colleague that they had not had any communication with the Big Ten and there still has not been evidence presented to Michigan that Jim Harbaugh knew, orchestrated any of this, or lied.”
Report: Timetable set for Big Ten response to Michigan, Jim Harbaugh, updated potential punishment
Stallion didn’t make enough to do this own his own. This whole process is pointless. Unless Harbaugh had a Nixon complex and bugged his own office (plausible?), no one will be able to prove he knew the means by which Stalions was gathering his information. I see it making plenty of sense that Stalions would keep his methods very close to the vest. It is obvious fact that everyone in the B1G knew about this scheme, so it would be ridiculous for this "ill gotten" information to have any impact on games whatsoever. The B1G simply needs to withhold revenue from Michigan, lots of revenue. Hit them where it really hurts. Don't punish the players because their idiot coaches got caught doing idiot things.
Stallion didn’t make enough to do this own his own.
I agree JH MAY not have known Stallion’s full method but it appears all the coordinators whole heartedly trust him by the video of sidelines so they all knew something was up BUT at the end of the day the NCAA holds the head coach responsible.
I personally would think that either JH or the OC or DC would have asked stallion at some point over 3 years how he was so good. I would have. I just as HC would not have understood how from first play of game Stallion was so good. but then again ignorance is bliss for those who know not to ask because they wouldn’t like the answer.
Again, Stallion didn’t have the money to do this own his own.
