I'll add one thing-at least one CMU coach was on staff at Michigan a few years ago.

It doesn't matter who reported it, the ramifications are the same if it is true. This is UM trying to shift the focus.

This is absolutely crazy! Someone on your sidelines and either (1) you have no clue who it is or (2) you know who it is but don't want to admit it - so you just say... not on the list for the sideline passes.

Bottom line someone was there who may have been there for reasons that are against NCAA policy. Seems like there are several schools in "how do I spin this to protect my program" mode.

Even if THE Ohio State did turn them in, SOooo. Are they also claiming OSU bought the tickets using Stallions credit card and then planted all the recorded video on the Michigan severs. Unless they did that, I don’t care who turned them in. Michigan broke the rules that were put in place and they didn’t break rules to get players, they broke the sportsmanship code of doing it by breaking rules. I have no problems stealing the signs in game or on video but the rules say no travel scouting.

Even more their cheating If they gave the signs to USCjr, means they could have taken a once in a lifetime opportunity for players on UT and Clemson to go to CFP. For that, he should be suspended for two years and no bowls for Michigan for 2 years beginning this year. I know it won’t happen but his cheating has done irreparable harm to players that the NCAA says they care the most about.

Now I admit I haven't read all the details of every report but how the hell does some random guy just show up on CMU's sideline without anyone knowing?

Looked like he had a staffer’s shirt. Either one helluva guesser on which shirt to where or this was a complicit occurrence imo.

That is the crazy part - CMU hasn't come out and said ...oh that is so and so and he is one of our assistants. I suspect they know exactly who that person is.

There are probably 150 people on any given sideline. Doesn't surprise me at all that somebody that is dressed the right way can end up down there with minimal cooperation. It only takes knowing one person to pull it off and after that it's just a matter of not drawing attention. It's kind of like being able to go anywhere you want as long as you carry a ladder and wear a safety vest lol.

SEC Nation did a story about a UT fan who snuck onto the field for the 98 Championship game and lead the team out of the tunnel.

acting like you belong goes a LONG way. goes even further if you can also dress the part too.

Certainly the two other coaches standing beside this guy know who he is….. it is not like he is at end of sidelines.

Well this is the part that matters. Central Michigan was playing a big rival of Michigan, Michigan State.1) So its plausible Stalion was over there tipping off to assist CMU because imagine recruiting advantages if your rival loses to a group of 5 school. And conversely imagine the benefits McElwain could gain by beating a Big10 school like Michigan State. It could land him a bigger job or at very least get him to incentive money likely in his contract.

2)Or perhaps Stalions shared some info in hopes of receiving info that McElwains coaching staff gathered on Michigan State.

My gut tells me its the first option.

The whole Ohio state connection is just Michigan people crying out their asses, And I hope every damn one of them who read this will come at me. You wouldn’t be where you are right now, good and bad, if you weren’t cheating to the next level, and your record prior to cheating proves that. I hope you all hurt for the rest of my life over how this wrecks your program. Not a one of the go blue bunch have touched grass or ass since Urban Meyer showed up in Ohio, because this is all you people have to live for. I know, because I’ve spent significant amounts of time up there. So go continue to contribute nothing but automotive strikes till hell freezes over, and I hope you never win a mother ****ing thing again. 🖕
