That’s fine. The players still have to play. But the only times they wore the wrist bands was vs us and Clemson. Definitely seems fishy. If they knew what plays were coming it’s much easier to stop of defense or make plays on offense. Not sure how much of this entire story is true or how much it impacted the games, but I didn't see a ton of "want to" from UT defensively in the USC game. Once Hooker got hurt, that was it for the team. Signs? To a degree, but you can't wash away the stink from that game by blaming these allegations. UT players and coaches will retain ownership of one of the most costly losses in our program history....at least with me.
You are blinding some with the data science….Just stop for someone gets their feelings hurtLook at his stats from all year. He had like 8 touchdowns, then vs us and Clemson he goes crazy. Sure everything could’ve just clicked but it’s the same team that lost to Florida, Arkansas and Mizzuo. And only scored 6 vs Florida and 10 against Mizzuo. Seems fishy to say the least.
obviously illegal since Beamer has already been fined for doing it once before.- Did South Carolina somehow obtain that information that was illegally obtained and use that to plan their game against Tennessee? While talking to other coaches and teams may not be illegal, taking and using information that was obtained illegally should fall into the "illegal" category.
This is definitely tinfoil hat territory. But his knee could’ve been weakened by tackles from earlier in the game.
I think it was actually kind of both. It's not that they thought they would play us. It's they thought that Tennessee and Clemson would surpass them especially if they somehow lost to OSU. It was an insurance policy.
and With SC you get to possibly kill 2 birds with one stoneI think it was actually kind of both.
This lunatic was scouting us so he would have the signals in case we met Michigan in the playoffs later in the year.
Then, as the end of the season got closer, he got worried we and/or Clemson might knock them out of a spot. That's the point at which a mental genius like this cheater fella could easily have thought to knock out the teams potentially ahead of them by helping other regular season foes of against us. And this regular season foe, in particular, included an assistant coach (DC, I think) who used to coach with the Michigan crew.
It's not that much of a reach, once you understand the magnitude of the hubris in this fella's head.
It could certainly look like we didn't play with an edge when your signals are stolen so you look REALLY slow because they know what you're doing. As much as i would like to sit here and get mad about "Cheating" especially against that ****hole in Columbia, SC. The truth is we just didnt bring it that night. Yes the offense scored enough to technically win. But we were not prepared to play that night plain and simple. We played with an Edge all season except that game. On all the 4th downs last season the opposing teams knew what play we were about to run, we didnt care, we had the mindset that we were going to get this first down, run you over in the process, and there isnt a damn thing you could do about it. Idk what happened in the locker room that week. But the team that showed in Columbia is NOT the same team that beat LSU, Bama, and Kentucky. Those of you can claim "Its because they had our signals" thats fine thats your opinion, i wont knock you for it. But to me, that night this team was in a funk and you could see it from South Carolina's first drive.
Funk or not, teams don't score touchdowns on 9 out of 10 drives. That's hard to do against a D2 school or the scout team. Especially given the same team didn't even score an offensive point the prior week. They just magically "figured it out" against 2 Top 10 teams to end the year. You'd think Rattler would be a continuation of that this year if they had figured things out. If the offense knows exactly what coverage and/or pressure you have called, that is most definitely a big deal...funk or not.As much as i would like to sit here and get mad about "Cheating" especially against that ****hole in Columbia, SC.
