Michigan spied on Vols last year

People are missing the real point of this whole thing. They are all focusing on Michigan when sign stealing is common in college football. Trust me it happens in the SEC also. All schools don't do it but the majority of 'top' teams do.

What's really being missed is that it's against NCAA rules to record the sidelines during games in order to steal signs. Every team has a staffer that's trying to steal signs during the game. That's not being missed. Stealing signs on the fly is one thing, but recording them and analyzing what plays are called and having that information ahead of the game is more than just counting cards.

Neither of these were greater than 46 point misses, which was OP’s point. They’ve never missed as badly as the UT/SC game.
I am sure some very high rollers lost millions on this game. If it turns out to be true, the NCAA will be the least of Beamer’s problems. Large Italian men with names like Guido, more so…..

I think that’s guy is a known troll Vols1313

Wasn’t letting me quote your post but I’m pretty sure that’s a fake account

Are people really believing this Nick Saban connection nonsense? Maybe there will soon be a Vol/TANON "storm" in which JFK, Jr. and Davy Crockett come back to life and arrest Jimmy Haslem, Mike Hamilton, Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt, Rohan Davey's mom and all of Volnation's enemies.

A question that comes to mind for me, and it may be possible to figure out since we've already seen pictures from our game against them, but were SCar's wristbands the same for both the UT and Clemson game? Or were they coded differently?

Thing is, somebody printed them up and those folks will know the story. If there is any truth to the rumors, everything will eventually come out.

No, I mean exactly like how Michigan got caught. It is widespread. The issue that came up here is the dude ran his mouth bragging to anyone that would listen and posted on social media. Do I think all schools do it? Nah, but i'd be willing to bet most top 25 teams do to some extent. The thing people don't wanna talk about is that sports in general are about skirting grey areas. From the high school to pro levels its how far you can push rules or sideskirt them. It's the nature of the business. And sports even at a high school level is a business.

When you get to the top of the game the worst athletes are great. The worst player in the NFL would be a really good starter on 90% of college teams. As you go up in ranks the margins get closer and the difference is often who bends the rules the most. Innovations in sports most often come from someone finding a way to stretch the boundaries of the rules. Huepels offense is a perfect example of this.

As far as this sign-stealing thing end of day I do not think much will come of it. not because its not wrong or not a big deal. But no one wins from it being pushed. ESPN/CSB loses, which is why they are not covering it wall to wall. NCAA loses. The bowls lose. The schools lose. The players lose. The coaches lose and finally, the fans lose. If it gets dug into a lot of skeletons come out of a lot of closets. A lot of schools get wins vacated, and championships revoked. Even the small schools that aren't good enough to bother cheating lose because guess what they depend on the big cheating schools to give them those buttwhipping checks each year. Fans don't want it because their team likely does it. NCAA/ESPN would lose a boat ton of money.

I'm not on some conspiracy theory tip. This is fact on how big money works. This ia billion dollar industry. It's in everyone's (on the money-making end) best interests that the whole thing does not get a black eye. Sweep it under the rug fire the noname grad assistant, maybe even a position coach and move on.

Give the scholarships back to us. Un vacate the wins they took from us. You sweep it under the rug because of why? It is Michigan and they are protected?

And I do understand that you are saying it could ripple and get ugly. But ... if you let someone break one rule, you can't expect anyone to follow any rules.

Fortunately, before you got around to replying, your BS just got consolidated into this one thread which contains all of the BS, so it's all good, your crackpottery is contained.
What do you think is BS? That they spied, which seems very apparent. Or that they spied but it didn’t effect the outcome?
