Why is child support tied to voting?
Tennessee just being Tennessee
She likes what the blue check mark means. She can't quit twitter
To the democrats favor, one new blunder over shadows the previous blunder. At this point their playbook is remind everyone of January 6 and democracy. Don't look elsewhere.I always liked the quote about politics that people have the memory of goldfish. You don't really see anyone mentioning the Afghanistan withdrawal as a reason they are voting for Republicans, for instance. It is overwhelmingly pocketbook, kitchen table issues. Even the GOP has sort of transitioned away from culture war stuff the last few weeks to hammering on the economy.
Why do you think the democrats now are trying turn all the criminals loose? Votes, Votes, and more votes. It's what they do.So ... because TN is still holding on the conditions that prior felons still cannot vote if they haven’t paid their court costs and fines or aren’t up to date and in good standing on their child support payments, that is a bad thing ? Or did you even bother reading the whole thing ? Tweet is misleading and has little to complain about.
I'm digging through the original study linked in the article and this number is misleading.
For one, it would suggest that more than 21% of blacks in Tennessee are convicted felons. Second, over 1/2 of the people are either still in prison, in jail, on probation or on parole. When I have time I'll dig deeper into the study.
Did you read my post? It has nothing to do with whether a criminal has completed his/her/they/them's sentence. It has to do with the democrats trying to early release as my as possible so they can vote. As to whether violent or not, it makes no difference to me. If someone breaks into someone's home and takes their stuff, then they forfeit their right to vote until they have served their sentence and paid restitution to their victims. So you believe non violent felons who have completed everything required of them by the court should never have voting rights restored?

If you say it enough then it must be true. They only choose like democracy when it works in their favor. But @Majors
What about the threat to our democracy?
Our democracy being threatened is a threat to our democracy.
Democracy.
Threats.
Democracy threats!
Of course she has to tweet about all of these threats to our democracy because our democracy is being threatened!!!

Brit Hume advises Biden to shake up Cabinet after midterms: 'Weakest' I've seen in my career
Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume calls Democrats 'ridiculous' for warning Republican wins would result in a 'threat to democracy' and argues Biden's 'decidedly weak' Cabinet needs a post-election overhaul.
To be honest, I thought they went a little too heavy with the 1/6 messaging. For the people that are concerned about that, we were already voting for liberals or moderates anyways. Like a sort of preaching to the choir situation. It doesn't move the needle for most swing voters. To the democrats favor, one new blunder over shadows the previous blunder. Agree, it's always the economy. To be honest, I thought they went a little too heavy with the 1/6 messaging. Somewhere in Louisiana, James Carville is banging his head on a desk shouting, "It's the economy, stupid!" He's an a*s, but he will probably be right when all is said and done tonight.
