Farrell has a dog in the fight given the fact that recruiting rankings are his and others stock and trade. If a coach builds a class without a lot of *'s they have no choice but to trash it because any success without the 'proper number of *'s' is a threat to their existence. The previous statement not withstanding; I think Dooley and staff will finish strong and will have the 'proper number of *'s' to make the top 15.
Somehow I don't think that is what he was saying. We need players that can qualify, enroll early, be able to learn the playbook, and have the ability to contribute asap. (if you haven't noticed we have a lot of depth problems). Also, he mentioned that we have to take a bunch of linemen on both sides, and the "stars" never accompany these prospect like they do the skill positions.
so basically we will be getting Boise St. caliber talent..
:no:No. They dont always get players of the caliber that we do, guys like Justin Hunter, Darick Rogers, Jaques Smith, James Stone, Jawaun James etc. just to name a few.....
plus Boise St. is ranked in the top 5 in the BCS and could beat several teams in the SEC on a given day.
