Mike Farrell On Tennessees Recruiting...

If Randolph doesn't get his 4th star then Rivals has no credibility.

I agree 100%. The AJC has him as one of the top 10 in GA, and they're pretty good about GA players. Dude kinda reminds me of Demetrius Wright from last year.

If Dooley finishes strong this class will have the pieces required to rebuild this program. After this class we'll be able to field a legit but young 2 deep offensive line and finally have more than a couple real DTs and some nasty hitting d backs. I think we're going to really like this class a year or two from now.

I can't believe this hack is one of the lead guys there...

I mean...I could understand believing we won't finish in the top 15...I don't agree but I can understand that opinion...

But not even in the top 25? Does this guy have any idea what's going on in the world of recruiting?

We've got 2-3 players that will bup to 4* plus we are in great shape with 6-7 others...we're likely to end up with 8-10+ 4*'s total...yet this guy believes we're going to fall outside the top 25?

Give me a break...I could do better than this guy

You just did. Well done.

Don't remember which thread it was that debated about GVX being a good read. If you look at the site now, the 3 headline stores are all negative and pessimistic. Pathetic really. I know we aren't very good right now, but for God's sake, its a Knoxville paper. C'mon man...

There's no way to spin last night's game positively.

Farrell's lazy ass is just regurgitating crap he reads on message boards. I'd have mire respect for the opinion if it actually showed even a little bit of independent thought.

The Vols finished in the top 25 last year, mainly by stealing Da'Rick Rogers, Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter and others down the stretch. This year it appears the Vols aren't stealing anyone.

With 18 commitments, Tennessee has secured only two prospects ranked four-star or better. It is in the mix for some good prospects, but right now it barely is staying inside the top 25 and ahead of only Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the SEC rankings. Not good.

ouch...

We'll see how much foresight (or lack thereof) there is in the article on February 2, 2011.

LOL. We didn't steal Bray. That article is just pathetic. I'm not optimistic about breaking the top 15, but we will definitely be in the top 25. A LOT will change between now and NSD anyways.

Seems that in the effort of busting our chops, one would post something at least a little accurate.
