Squirrel’s size is one issue he has. To act like it isn’t is foolish. Muggsy Bogues played in the NBA at 5’3,” but that doesn’t mean that the thing holding some 5’9” guys back isn’t their height.I'm not at all suggesting Squirrel is a Smith clone.
Both are little guys and neither is very fast.
Squirrel's issues AREN'T that he's undersized or slow. Smith is too.
Squirrel's issues are he's not fluid and polished AND he didn't have 1st Round QBs dropping absolutely gleaming dimes in his lap.
Some is the key word. Smith is definitely undersized, slow, and not a good height for a WR in college or pros BUT he has a Heisman.Squirrel’s size is one issue he has. Dude come on. When I guy hits the portal then changes their mind it’s because they couldn’t find a better financial deal. Dont kid yourself or believe what anyone else says
Teams still have vocal leaders, winning is still important to most. These teams in the playoffs like Notre Dame and others have vocal leaders. I hope even Nico becomes more vocal and emotional. It’s good to be even keel and not let emotions overcome you. On the other hand it nothing wrong with showing a little fire and spirit and showing command out there. GBOI think vocal leaders are good. Different day and age now though. This NIL stuff and portal stuff seems to make it more about me than we though.
Saw him before the OSU game with Sampson in Knoxville. He’s 5’8, maybe 150 lbs. Big reason he couldn’t get YAC.Squirrel’s size is one issue he has. To act like it isn’t is foolish. I would agree with that but it was also reasonable to expect to him to do more than he did this year. The accuracy issues are a big concern. I definitely thought he would be more accurate pushing the ball down the field but that is a huge hole in his game currently. He certainly flashes tools that NFL scouts love but he really hasnt put together a complete game yet
First let me say, IF (big if) Pope is a problem, as has been rumored, then he needs to go.You don't think it would piss off Mike Matthews to fire the coach he just recommitted to play for?
you just said rumored. So not at all susbstantiated in any way, which means there's no good reason to believe it's actually true. You have a few guys who didn't get as much run as they thought they should of because the WR Coach we have has a STACKED room mouthing off on Instagram or wherever. That's it. That's all you got. Meanwhile the top WRs we have aren't going anywhere. Kelsey Pope is about to put MORE WRs into the NFL. It just makes no sense y'all are stuck on this.First let me say, IF (big if) Pope is a problem, as has been rumored, then he needs to go.
To answer your question, as a head coach, you must take full advantage of a justifiable opportunity to make the team better when it presents itself. To do otherwise would hurt the whole team. The feelings of one player would have to be secondary..
So no, I'm not going to worry to much about said player getting pissed off.
I'll leave this dead horse alone now. Time for me to stop being pathetic and immature... but I did want to laugh about this one last time
