Empathy would be major immigration/migrant worker reform so that these people have a legal path to get here and better their lives and not be forced to live as second class citizens doing menial labor.

Shocking Video shows US Soldier appearing to let migrants Onto Private Property in Texas

Shocking footage appears to show a US soldier opening a gate to let a steady stream of border crossers onto private property in Texas — then watching as a bus pulls up to whisk them away.

Footage shared by Fox LA reporter Bill Melugin late Monday starts with a woman in military gear calmly backing up from a high fence in Eagle Pass as the gate is opened up.

In just over a minute, dozens of people casually walk through the opening — with others still slowly walking toward it as the clip ends.

As they enter, a small craft watches from the river, which Melugin said was the Border Patrol.

The same female soldier who appeared to have opened the gate then comes back into the frame, calmly watching the new arrivals as a white bus pulls up with another vehicle behind.

Melugin said the clip, from early Monday, “shows a large group of migrants crossing illegally onto private property.”

However, once on US soil, migrants cannot be turned away, with the law being broken when they enter the country, before reaching the gate.

I believe that is called supply and demand, it's a basic tenet of capitalism. It's why the Chamber of Commerce wants high levels of immigrants and more work visas.

As long as Corporate America just pays fines and there's no personal liability as in people looking out from behind bars, then nothing really changes. Fines are just a cost of doing business ... if you get caught. This isn't a gray area just like accumulating citizen/customer data bases and failing to secure them isn't a gray area.

We don't have to dedicate much if any more resources to documenting workers than is already being spent, all we really have to do is take away all incentive to come here illegally. Divert those funds into vetting and documenting legal immigrants or migratory workers.

Then the fines aren't big enough. When they start to affect the bottom line, attitudes will change

50 try several hundred spread out over the country.

What do you think would happen to the country if a couple a hundred substations were attacked at the same time. Remember what a fallen tree limb did to New York city and the Northeast years ago or just cold snow & ice in Texas now think of something that could take weeks plus to repair.
